Did some alternate lane testing on the track with some excellent results. One car ran 3 identical MPH readings to the hundredth with one reading only a .03 MPH difference. ETs were similar on L and R lanes with differences of only 5 thousands of a second for 4 runs. The extra heavy duty power lines running to 3 spots on the track and checking all joints for good connections made the difference as the track was never this consistent before. This means there will be no advantage with lane choice.

Car care at the the race: Tires will be cleaned and dried before each run. I will do some light maintenance on the cars if needed. Cars have to be lifted from the rear tires with the steel stop strips or the body will come right off. Since I installed the shutdown area with the steel stop tracks and cushioned catch box there have been no casualties, even after extensive testing, despite some very high speeds being reached.

Dave, Since you mentioned "some very high speeds being reached". I gotta ask, how high are you talking ? Or, how bad is my butt gonna get kicked......lol ? When it comes to my red Ford bracket car ....... I doubt it will make it to steel shut down (stock mega g). It would be best lifted as you described (wheels stick out plenty far). You'll see why later today or tomorrow. First try with front wheels on anything hope they hold up.

LOOKS LIKE A GOOD DAY FOR A RACE: All the cars except for Sjracer and alan@R&D racing have arrived and are ready to run. Qualifying will start this afternoon after the mailman arrives. Pro Mods will get one run on each lane using the best time for qualifying, same for the Outlaws. There will be SEEDING taking place for the Pro Mod and Outlaw races, #1 vs bottom qualifier etc. Brackets will get 2 on each lane with times published. Then builder can post a time for their car or I can pick it for them. If I put the dial in I will dial in a cushion in case the car runs quicker so it will not break out. Had that happen quite often when we practiced with our test cars. I think the cars decide they do not want to lose the race at times. All the cars present along with the builders names have been entered into the system and we are ready to go. Good luck to all.
