Bob is a really nice guy. Met him at HOPRA nationals a couple years ago. Brought my daughter one of the days I wasn't racing and he let her borrow a car and controller so she could have some fun.

Just got done with my daughters race.she took fourth. The track was plastic and had a small hump that was hanging the traction magnets. But she by far had the fastest car there. The next fastest car was about 3.5 ft behind her at the finish. She won first place with the best looking car and won a afx big block battlers race set. Thank y'all for asking about it.

Congrats on the 4th but it sounds like she should have won it by a bunch. What happened, red light, de slot, hole shot or was it a bracket race? Was the race run by someone who had no clue? Glad to hear your car was the fastest, you did put some work into it. Plastic track can easily get a bump in it for almost no reason at all. Even a 1/32nd of an inch can de slot some cars while not effecting others.

Thanks guys. Dave car sits really close to the track and the traction magnets hung on the track and stopped the car 4 different times. I finally got mad and changed tires and jerked mags out. She ran car ant it went all the way across the breaking track into the cardboard box through it and hit the trophy sitting behind it. The wood trophey has a big chip and dent lol. Broke a few things on the car but looks great doing it lol.

Sounds like it sat really low. Track was probably not well prepared. At least it made a spectacular showing. As you can see stopping the faster cars can be a real problem.

It did traction mags were off the track by about the thickness of a baseball card. He only put up 6 ft shut down this year he made a braking system but it dident work especially after I pulled traction mags hehe. Car was rocking though. On the first pass kaleigh hit the button and turned and looked at me and said dad it wont run I said kaleigh you won lol. You literally dident have time to move your eyes from the start light to the car before it hit the box.

Hey Lewis, Hope Kaleigh , was happy with the day's results ! You may have built a rail sucker.......... or could have been inconsistencies in rail height. Might be impossible to get rail height the same for plastic (inconsistencies in rail matetial). Thanks for posting results............. Whoever got the trophy........ will always know :-)

Yeah it sticks pretty good but rite lane was the only lane that done it. We will have that trophy next year it comes back every year. Time to order some scale auto stuff for next year. If it comes off again we plan on breaking it lol. He said he might go with a pro track next year with more amps and a timing system I wish he had this year I would love to have seen speed.we went with the Wizzard with neo motor mags .9 wiz drag arm shunts and braids 10 tooth brass pinion and 20 tooth brass crown it really was a rocket lol

Sounds like you built a quick one. I found that neo traction magnets are to much for my track as they dragged the rails even with a stiff chassis. Might be good for roundy round but to much for drag racing, at least so far. Will be looking forward to you racing in my next race where you will get all the information you need. We both like to see how quick we can make them go. I will have to keep the voltage down to 20 because of the stopping distance however. I plan on having 2, (one for each lane), 30 amp supplies for that one. Hoping I can stop the cars with the distance I have. I am sure a 60 mph speed will be hit with those supplies.

If you got the amps I will see what I can do to shatter that 60 mph mark. I'm 100% sure we went quite a bit quicker Tha that yesterday on the 5 amps al pink knows the car well he can probably give you more insight on the speed of it.

on 20' 7.5" that car was in the low 90 MPH in about 0.257 seconds. I don't care to run those speeds on tracks without adequate shutdown.
I have another car that went over 100MPH at about 0.187. the record I set (which has since been broken) was on 17.5' using 28+ volts, 0.182 however that pass was only 99.8 MPH. many moons ago.
I understand the current ET record is around 0.155. or, should I say the fastest pass ..... I don't think that was during an event or backed up within 2%.
still, mighty fast.
