Got it. Sam if you read this I have had a couple of questions about independent front ends. In my opinion they make no difference in a drag race and they will be allowed in any of my classes. If you can please add that to the rules section.
Thanks, Dave

alright fellas there is still plenty of time to sign up so if you have the urge........ now's the time to get involved. Our popular Pro Street Outlaws list has expanded to 10 spots with only 6 of those spots being filled to date. If you have a PSO ( rules can be found here ) and want to join in on the fun then there is no better time or place to get involved. We have new competitors coming to Smoky Mountain and the list is expected to fill up soon. All it takes to participate is the willingness to compete and the cost of having your car shipped back to you. Everyone currently on the list has been willing to help each other out with tech advice to help make each others car run better (if needed). That's really is what it's all about, making the cars quicker and pushing each other to the best of their tuning abilities while maintaining their spot on the list, all while trying to move up. If you need braided pick up shoes, just ask myself or JJwallace and we will make sure you have a set to run at this coming event and future events.
You do not have to be a member of Nitro Slots to participate. You can sign up on Slot Car Illustrated with Dave632 and you can also now sign up on our Nitro Slots facebook page.

I think we should mention that the PSO list races will be run at the standard 18 volts. I don't think that was mentioned in the rules. All other classes will be at 20 volts. If I have read the posts correctly there will be enough racers to fill the 7-9 spots and with one more commitment we will have a gate keeper. The Shark pool will battle it out for the different spots and once that is established call outs will be allowed, 2 per racer per event.

on the list fellas.
Dave, could you share ET's for the 2.5 and inline stock classes that you've experienced on your track at 20v?

Sam Inline stocks vary greatly. The best are in the high .6, low .7s all the way to 1-1.5 seconds. Since not much can be done to them finding a quick one seems to be luck more than anything. I have identical Super IIIs that vary .5 in ET. My 2.5 cars are far more consistent but even they vary some. Best are in the .39-.40 with the slowest running in the high .5 range. My power supplies start to show a difference when this class is run as the cars can use the extra amperage. So your 2.5 cars will run a little better with these supplies. Times are at 20V.

This is shaping up to be my biggest race ever with almost 50 entries already NOT counting the PSO list racers which should bring the count to near 60. Wanted to mention that the LIST races will be run at 18V as has been the practice in the past. All other classes will run at 20V including the PSO CLASS races so your times may differ if you are running the same car in both events. No restrictions on wheelie bars for any class as they only stabilize the cars and do not add any speed or ET.
