I have a suggestion for the Farm Truck. If it is all right with all the racers I would like to use the Farm Truck as the gatekeeper in the #10 spot, just like it used to be on the show. I would send it to all the races and you would have to beat it to get on the list. Every car on the list now can beat it. This is just a suggestion so let me know if it is a good idea. I'm good with that once we have a full list but would like the gate keeper to be the #11 spot. Winner of the shark pool would have to beat the truck to be able to call out the 10 spot. Without going back, what does the truck run? it would be nice to have it run .05 slower than the #10 spot. When the list gets quicker.... do some tuning to make it quicker but keep it around .05 slower than #10.

The truck was running right at the .7- .75 range. I can surely slow it down if needed. Just thought it might add a little interest having to beat the gatekeeper to get on the list. We can wait until there are 10 cars. Then you would have to beat the truck to challenge the list. I remember at one time they made the Farm Truck the permanent Gatekeeper on the show but they have not followed thru with that.

I know everybody knows this, me included but I still did it. Those neo and poly magnets are so strong even though I had them sitting 6" away from each other they attracted and the Neos smashed the polys to little pieces. Just a word of warning.
The new life like cars will be a welcome addition to the Inline stock class. I found it amazing how fast the stockers were running.
I did not mention this before but the two finalists were both Tomy Super G+ cars. Entrants included Tyco, AFX G+ Super III and AFX shifters. Traction magnets and gear changes were a must for these cars. The stock gear ratios are to low for drag racing. The superior cars had all changed their gears. I know we could go with pure stock but that would eliminate all the older inlines and who wants to try to count the gears in those cars, not me, also who knows what's the stock gear ratio, not me.

All the cars shipped back today except Bluesguys. I am checking out one of his cars for him.
Please thank Nick at Super Tires when you receive your tires, he was more than generous with his contributions. His site is at the bottom of the NS home page.

Bill PM me on a few things I saw that would help you out. The purple 57 Vette ran very well for what was done to it. .65s was very good.

Now for the royal pain to get working. Slo Mo videos. We spent a couple of hours getting this to finally work and we had done it before. Some of the videos just would not work when converted. First the 2.5 Finalists. IMG_3804 This one ECBill asked for, a slo mo of the cars leaving the line. This one is an AFX with 2 traction magnets vs Bills car with none. IMG_3803 Made a couple of more passes with the 57 Nomad and the silver red Mustang. For some reason the Mustang slowed a little and we did not get the close races we had earlier. asset-4 asset-3 Thanks for th starting line slo mo. Its amazing to see how much they bounce off the line.

Notice the Super Tire Chevy which has a wheelie bar, it still pulls the front tires off the ground but the bar keeps it from deslotting. I set the bar almost on the ground so it is actually bending it some. Try some of those magnets on the red/white Vette in the video it was really spinning the tires off the line. The pink/white one had a great 60' for having no traction magnets. It left better than any I've had with no traction mags.

Man this event was a lot of fun, long distance excitement for sure. Dave has been such a gracious host, helping us HO drag racing newbies, and introducing us to a very quick bunch of guys. I can't wait to enter the next Nitro event. Looking forward to competing and learning from y'all.

Thanks again guys. I will hold a couple of races in 2017, first one will probably be around April or so, I will get together with Sam and the others to discuss the coming season. As I said it is a lot of work doing it the way I do it, but you do not have to go to the extreme I go to. The other hosts will probably hold a couple each also. As stated in the past you do not have to have a setup like mine to hold races. There have been races held where there was no timing system using basic plastic track with limited amounts of pictures and race descriptions.
