It seems like in the last 6-8 months HO drag racing has livened up quite a bit. Jumping into the pool and seeing how well your cars run on other tracks is the only way to improve and compare to other cars.
I stopped racing the full size cars which was super expensive to racing the HO cars and having a good time running them.

IT IS RACE WEEK!!
5 days till The 2017 NTRA Winter Nationals.......
If your cars aren't in the mail yet then you better get them there soon. Cars need to arrive by Thursday March 16. The excitement is building around here. Will be setting up Race Central (garage) this week, but the track is good to go. It's going down Friday at Bear Creek Dragway in North Texas!!

Looking forward to this weekends racing and it looks like a great field of cars are going to compete.
My 57 Nomad is eager to get back into the PSO fray after suffering it's first loss. I found out not cleaning up the
comm and brushes because I was afraid to touch it was not such a good idea. Even an old Dog, or Cat for that matter, can learn.
The 4G outlaw class will be quite a battle with over 20 cars entered. I have little experience with that chassis but some of
the 3G tricks transfer over to that chassis.

If it's not to late I would like to enter one more Door Slammer. It looked like the car count was down  So I had a little time yesterday and threw another one together. My track is down so I couldn't test it. Sam was kind enough to test my other car for me. I'm excited to get back racing again. This should be a really cool race with all the cars entered. I wish I was able to send some body's for prizes. I will be soon. Have some stuff coming just need the time to do it. Good Luck to all this weekend it should be a lot of fun. Rick |

Dave I have no doubt your cars will be competitive. Like you said, a lot of the 3 gear tricks carry over to the 4 gear. I tear down all my cars before every race and give them a "tune up". Just habit for me. I usually don't have problems until I start tweaking things too much. I mean......we can always go faster....right? When do I say that's fast enough? It's maddening . Your cars got here today by the way. |

Rick One more Doorslammer....I think everyone has said that for this race....lol ! I love it! My favorite NTRA class hands down. Two racers arrived today.....Kiwidave and Gymi are now in the house!
Still waiting on a few more racers to show up. 2 days remaining till raceday!
