Definetly one Tjet SS and PSO car. My one and only 4gear is on the way to New Zealand. Is there much chance they'll be back in time? Guess it may be time to add a few. Anybody have some for sale? 2.5 & 6 ohm inline match races sound good. I'll send one for each. Bill the way the mailings for N.Z. work is I mail all the cars to N.Z. Kiwidave mails cars back to individual owners. They don't come back to me and then to you. Typically mail time has been about two weeks...give or take a day or two. It would be cutting it close to get your car back...tune...and then back out to me. I recommend investing in a few more 4 gears to work with. They will run several times throughout the year with different rules and we want to see you at all of them . Like Dave said, Ebay is a great source for anything slot car as well as Lucky Bob's, Jags, SlotsnStuff, etc. All can be accessed from the bottom of the main Forum page.

WOW Hey Dave......now all you gotta do is shave 1.53 off of that and you've got the track record...lol. Let's be fair here and not just bash the 4 gear.......I have some stock MT/XT/non MT that don't do much better without a little TLC. The 4 gear will wake up with some effort. Will it be as fast as a comparable 3 gear........no. But can it be fast relative to another 4 gear.......yes it can!

Jeff, what is the Bear Creek track record for D/S at 20v?
I have had new 4G's run anywhere from 1.0 to 2.5 seconds at 20v, actually I take that back, I had one new car that didn't run out of the box because it was missing a motor brush. I like the challenge of taking a poorly designed chassis (mostly gear plate) not to mention very little quality control from the factory and making them run better. I've actually been bracket racing 2 AW 4G's at DCU the last 2 outings and can honestly say that they are 2 of my most consistent cars. Modifications that were done were removing the brass rivet post and replacing it with a screw, changing the wheels and tires and I added braids on the PU shoes. Everything else is stock. Keep in mind that DCU runs at 26v. One car runs mid .7's while the other runs low .8's. Pretty much the same ET's at my track running 20v. Now I know that sounds like a lot of mods just out of the box and tend to agree but how many actual 1/1 drag cars do you see running with factory wheels and tires? Not bashing on AW but I've had to tweak and tune all of their pancake chassis to make them run consistent. Drag racers will race anything, it's all about taking what's in front of you and making it run quicker/faster than your buddy? It's a good topic, I plan on doing a "How to" on building a D/S soon.

Sam I don't know at 20v, Doorslammer has always run at 18v in the past. I was planning on running them at 18v for the race like I always have....until I looked at the rules yesterday and it said 20v. So I guess I will run at 20v instead and we will reset the track record at this event. Not sure if you saw my post on 1st page of thread, but track record at 18v is .728.

The 4G I got with my purchase was one of 36 chassis which were all Aurora AFX up to and including a Super G+. Many did not run at all including the Super G which wheezed its way down the track slower than the 4G. It had a bad arm. Most of them had rear wheels made of stone and some would sit and spin and go nowhere. These would be good for a burn out video. One however amazed me, it was a stock 3 gear that ran over 15 mph. That would be competitive with any stock 3 gears I have and in any stock 3G race. Using 4 gears will be the same for everyone. I sent 2 of the few I have down to KiwiDaves race so the one I just got will be pressed into service. It just needs to cut about 1.5 seconds off its time to be competitive. Easy!!!

Sam put me In for .1- four gear outlaw and 1- pso call out number 4 thanks. Mac just a reminder.......Ecbill has called you out for the #5 spot first. You will be Call Out Race #1. If you defend your spot, you will race whoever is in the #4 spot at that time. That will potentially be Call Out Race #5 of Round 1. I have started a list of the CO Races on the Official Call Out thread. nitroslots.com/thread/4197/street-outlaws-official-call-thread?page=3

Just wanted to mention that I cleaned the 15mph 14 ohm?? stocker and checked the arm thinking it could not be a 14 ohm and I was right. It was a 15.5 ohms??? After cleaning and oiling it hit 17 mph with no traction magnets and stock pickups. Not selling that one as it should make some future races. Faster than the ones I sent to NZ for sure. Others in the group I bought are lucky to hit 10 mph.
