Just tested the 4 gear that I just got in the chassis batch. It ran a superb 8.09 mph in 2.25 seconds. WOW Hey Dave......now all you gotta do is shave 1.53 off of that and you've got the track record...lol. Let's be fair here and not just bash the 4 gear.......I have some stock MT/XT/non MT that don't do much better without a little TLC. The 4 gear will wake up with some effort. Will it be as fast as a comparable 3 gear........no. But can it be fast relative to another 4 gear.......yes it can! Lol. The older I get my eyes are fading, i couldn't make it out on the flyer.....thx. I love the body rule tho! |

Picked up a 4 gear at Hobby Lobby. $15 with a 40% coupon. Is the Batmobile considered a drag body  . Now I have a car to enter in the door slammer and 4 Gear Outlaws. Still would like to get ahold of an older AFX MT version too. |

Still would like to get ahold of an older AFX MT version too. Bill once again Ebay is a great source for anything slot car and there are good deals out there. Slot Car Central www.slotcarcentral.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=SCC&Category_Code=AA4PY also has a lot of the older chassis stripped down pretty cheap. 4 gear Specialty chassis stripped is $2.50 or (3) for $4.75. I did not see any rolling chassis though. |

Thanks for the info. Been checking out his stuff. It could be pricey building them one piece at a time. (Didn't Johnny Cash have a song about that?) He sells each individual part and gear separately. Much of the other stuff will interchange with 3 gear. JAG also has chassis, gear plates and gears sold individually.

Sam is right....let's get those Doorslammers signed up for the 4 GEAR OUTLAWS list! The Doorslammers are no stranger to Bear Creek Dragway. First running was in October of 2013 and there were 27 cars signed up for that race....and they were some beauties!! Bear Creek was a single track...two lane...sectioned track back then. It was a great event! Here are a few pics to stir some competitive spirit.
