Manufacturers Team Challenge
- Stock Inline as per NTRA rules nitroslots.com/page/ntra-rules no braids or shunts no sili foam tires chassis with adjustable end bells at neutral timing position - 22 gram minimum - Run at 20v - (2) cars per Racer. - American Musclecar type bodies preferred but not required ** No hood scoop rule and wings for bodies will NOT be enforced for this race **
Car manufacturers to be represented are: Ford Chevrolet Chrysler Independents (Pontiac, AMC, all others)
Qualifying The (4 or ? not sure of the entries we will get for this one...maybe more on each team...maybe less) fastest qualifiers representing each of the manufacturers will qualify for each team. Cars that do not qualify will compete in a Open Competition ladder elimination for an individual title.
If a manufacturer team does not have the 4 or ? entries, then any open spots will be filled by the fastest qualifier from another manufacturer that is not already on a team.
Team Eliminations Three rounds will be run. Each team will race every other team once during each round. Cars will be matched up #1 vs #1, #2 vs #2, and so on. One point will be awarded for each race win and the team with the most points at the end of three rounds will be The Manufacturers Champion. Ties will go to the team with the quickest ET in eliminations, followed by the fastest MPH.
Open Competition All remaining cars that did not qualify for a team will race in a ladder elimination to decide the Open Competition Champion. Cars will be paired #5 vs #6, #7 vs #8, and so on.
That is pretty much it for the Manufacturers Challenge. I personally have not run a race like this before, so it should be fun. My first race with Nitroslots was a Manufacturers Challenge run by Rick Voeglin at Lions Drag Strip in 2011. It was a blast and is the reason I am still here today. All credit goes to Rick for this format. I have made a few subtle changes but it is unchanged for the most part.

Kiwi Challenge - stock 4 gear as per NTRA rules nitroslots.com/page/ntra-rules - 23 gram minimum - Modern Funny Car or Nostalgia Funny Car body preferred but not required - Run at 18v - traction magnets are allowed - unlimited tire size is allowed New Zealand racers will be matched against Nitroslots members that accept each of the challenges. Once I know who the N.Z. racers will be, I will post them on the sign up list. At that point Nitroslots members will accept each of the N.Z. challenges. It will be first come first served.
There will be no qualifying. Cars will be run best 2 out of 3 as they are matched up. This is the 3rd running of the Kiwi Challenge here at Bear Creek Dragway. The 1st challenge was a tie. The 2nd went to New Zealand in a nail biter! Their fastest car blistered the track in a run off after all races ended in a tie for the second time.

Musclecar preferred - 21 gram minimum - Run at 18v - Call outs to be made on the Pro Street Outlaw Official thread. Link is listed above or click banner at the top of page.
This the 9th meeting of Pro Street Outlaws. Competition has heated up for sure. Spot races will be run in the order of the call outs. Any cars wanting to challenge for the #10 spot will be entered into a "Shark Pool" and will race for that opportunity.

This the 2nd meeting of Four Gear Outlaws. Lots of spot movement in the 1st meeting. I expect more of the same for this one. Spot races will be run in the order of the call outs. Any cars wanting to challenge for the #10 spot will be entered into a "Shark Pool" and will race for that opportunity.
Updated lists can be found on the forum Home page. I will post list orders on race thread as we get closer to the event. This an unsponsored event that is for National, Manufacturer, and Outlaw bragging rights! Oh Yeah!!

Started working on the manufacturers challenge cars. Pulled the braid off a couple of the faster inlines and they near died. One lost .4 and 10 mph wow. I have some tricks to restore some of that however.

I would like to remind everyone to please make your list call outs in the appropriate place. Located at the top of the page is the Pro Street Outlaw Official call out thread and next to it is the Four Gear Outlaw Official call out thread. This is to help keep things from being too confusing. With two 10 car lists, there could potentially be 20 call outs per round. That is a lot to keep up with. I can sort through everything and figure it out if I have to, but I would rather just be able to go to the appropriate thread to get the call out info. Thanks everybody.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I did not realize that. I have you down for both Shark Pools and (1) 4 gear stock for Kiwi Challenge. I will put you with the Independent group for Inline stock till you know what make you will be running. Just let me know. Thanks.

Question about " Stock Inline" class No timing adjustments allowed where does this place the Super G + chassis. Clyde-0-Mite

Good question Clyde since these cars have a slightly adjustable endbell. I have tested many of the Super G+ chassis and many of them run best at Neutral timing. It makes no sense to me either but that is the results of my tests.

Hey Clyde......here is my interpretation of the rules and my stance regarding the race. As for the rules I believe the no timing adjustment refers specifically to the armature itself. Now with that being said, the end bell adjustment on the SG+...G3...etc is effectively advancing the timing. I would say neutral position on the end bell for those type chassis is what would be fair. It is pretty easy to police that because it is something that can be looked at easily. Now with my races I do not handle the cars any more than I absolutely have to....other than making sure the cars are set up for the track...i.e. pick ups and oil if needed. I want the racers cars to run as they were tuned by the racer with very little influence from me. I don't want to be adjusting end bells on anybody's cars. With what Dave said here it shouldn't make a difference, but unfortunately that is not always the case though. I ask that neutral adjustment on the end bells be the norm for this race. There will undoubtedly be some cars that will show up with the end bells advanced. I will make a judgement call at that time whether to mess with the cars or not. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks I just wanted some light shed on this in case it became an issue not trying g to cause any trouble. If I run I will probably run tycos but I do have a couple of super G+ cars I could put into service. Clyde-0-Mite

No trouble Clyde. I thought about this and banning certain chassis when I decided to run Stock Inline, but I didn't want to get into all of that. So I left it alone. That has always been an ongoing question with the SG+ and BSRT type cars. Thanks for bringing it up.
