A couple quick questions, please: 1 - I found the ET's for a similar meet in 2016. Were they similar for 2017? 2 - Is the "427 Cobra" body considered a muscle car body? Not even sure I would want to use it beings it's so outta scale but it does have a lot of room for tires . Thanks, G

I would not stop anyone from running a Cobra on my track as it surely was a hot sports/muscle car in its era. It is American made and we sure run a lot of Corvettes on our tracks which in my opinion would fall in the same category. I would check with the individual race master just to be sure.
Some of the cars in 2016 were pretty quick but I think we are slightly quicker today. I know at my recent event both ends of the PSO and 4GO records were broken. The stocker AFX car I will be sending to NZ is quicker than the one I sent last time which I think ran one of the better times of that meet, unfortunately it was not consistent. Even with low amp draw stockers however they are a few hundredths quicker here due to, I believe, the big power supplies.

Cobra body is fine. Checkout last years finals to get a idea of what the fast guys are running.

There was a Bigfoot sighting during the Finals. He was seen peering through the trees at the Safety crews. This year Nostalgia Funny car will have a different result! The Twisted Texan Pinto will be coming to New Zealand looking to eat. Kiwidave will the Kiwis be taking part in the race as well. It is always good competition whether we are over here or there. I appreciate your efforts!

I saw BIGFOOT, looked like one of my In laws!!!!!! Good grief I am getting old, did not remember most of it. I can remember an ET one of my cars ran 40 years ago but that I did not remember. Glad to hear KiwiDave and friends will be racing in the event. They did some winning here at the Smokies so we need to see if we can return the favor. Forgot about that wreck in the final, boy those ECBill Bazooka's work well. Liked the track crew coming out and checking things out, I did remember that.

All Fords including HIPO 289's are more than welcome. Having owned and raced a worked HIPO 289 with a crazy Isky cam and twin holleys on a tunnel ram, mated to a 4 speed and 9 inch. I know how much fun those little motors can be. Managed to embarrass a few big blocks with that combo! I'd love to own one of the old cammer Fords!

Many of my drag cars ran tunnel rams. I remember picking up almost a full second with a tunnel ram over a single 4 on a high rise on a small block Chevy 350. On one particular 350 the tunnel rams had a huge effect as soon as the engine rpm hit about 3000. It was like turning the N20 on.

When I was a kid, the ThunderJet Cobra body (known as "Snake Eyes" ) was the one I wanted more than any other. Had to wait til my second or third childhood to get one. Bill

No year restrictions! Factory scoops, cowl induction ok, just no huge scoops, snorkels(sorry Randy). Just would like cars to have a stock appearance.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that I will be the mailing hub for the U.S. if you do not want to mail cars to N.Z. yourselves. We have done this for the last 4 or 5 races and it works very well. Just send everything here to Bear Creek like you would normally do for a regular race in the U.S. and I will do the rest. As we get closer to the race I will post my address for those of you that want to do that. Kiwidave will typically mail the cars directly back to the owners.

Questions: 1 - Is there an approximate date yet, that you (Jeff) would prefer the cars to be in your possession?
2 - Who do we send payment(s) to? And how much to whom?
3 - Will PayPal be a valid form of payment(s) for those on the receiving end? If not, what is preferred?
Thanks in advance to all that respond to these questions! G
