It will not be any later than two weeks before the race though. As we get closer, I will set that date. The race is not until July 14 and 15. Maybe Dave is anxious or maybe he thinks its June 14 and 15?? Either way you still have over a month before you need to mail cars to me. I say again........I will set the exact date that I will need to have the cars here as we get closer to the race. Thanks.

Need to dig through the AFX and 4 Gear chassis' to find some descent stockers. No longer interested in detuning Hot Rods to stocker specs. Detuned that sweet little AW 57 Chevy which was far and above the fastest stock motored AW I've ever seen, to send out to the gasser wars, last year. It ran in the yellow Willys panel body and only ran mid pack.
The puzzling thing is that its never picked back up to where it once ran. Even with braids, a fresh tune up, and 20V, its still .2 sec off of it previous times. Just not the same car anymore.

Have had similar things happen before. No explanation as to why that can happen as I have detuned cars for some races and never got them back to where they were before.
I keep a few chassis as stockers so that when a stock style race comes up I don't have to detune any of my cars. 98% of my cars, count is 180 or so, have some sort of mod, mostly braid as that mod means you never have to buy a pickup shoe for that car EVER again + it generally adds performance to them.

That's quite a few cars. That prompted me to count mine out of curiousity. I have about 40 and that's all of them...fast and slow. I don't detune my faster cars or change them up too much once I have them built for a class. If they are turds, then it doesn't matter what I do. But I don't screw around with the performers unless I'm trying to go faster.

Glad they arrived OK. I was buying and selling HO slot cars in the past. I have sold well over a thousand of them. I kept only drag and muscle type cars for myself.

Lurkers and new guys. My race is for stock chassis and stock parts. This is to help promote good close racing and give everyone a better chance of being competitive. I have good results running Supertires as my track is Tomy plastic. Sign up thread has been posted. psychoslots.proboards.com/thread/4501/2018-ntra-international-sign

Just wanted to mention that I tested my NFC cars at 20v not 18v which is what they will be run at. I also noticed that the 57 Nomad was quicker and faster than the 57 Vette at 20v, in fact it set the track record for that type of car at 20v. At 13.8v they both ran about the same. Just shows that some cars are effected more by the voltage than others.
I am going to gather a list of track records for as many different classes that I can think of.
