Got the 2 new power supplies all hooked up with the fuse block. I changed around the backdrop, too.
I dug an old canvas board out of the closet with a wash start, from many years ago. My next track project is to see if I can paint the continuation of the background scenery on to that canvas. It's gotta be better than looking at that wall . We'll see how it goes. This is the present configuration as of to date.

I put a little 7" monitor down at track side so I could react to the tree and still be able to watch the cars race. It was hard to watch the cars and watch the tree on the regular monitor at the same time with the present configuration. This little 2nd monitor helps a bunch. Plus, trying to get used to the new starting method, pushing a switch instead of pulling a trigger on a controller.

The relay for the simultaneous starts showed up last week. Came from China in less than 2 weeks . Had time to get it wired up today. Like it a whole bunch better than the momentary switch that I was using . So far it works flawlessly , they claim it's good for 30,000 plus cycles.

Relays are the way to go, I have countless runs on mine. It takes the load off the start button also.

Here's an updated schematic of the relay hook up.
A link to the relay that was purchased.

And a really boring video of running a couple stock X-Traction cars. Was trying to get the reaction time down. Managed to get a zero on runs 4 & 5.

Lookin good, try some pro tree reactions if the system allows that. The button is quicker in that case.

Doing some rearranging. Expanded the pits so things will be a little more functional during a proxy race . Took the road course out and will be setting up a different one else where. It will be a routed 3 laner, 3' x 8'. Got the pits all re-paved today. They will get striped later. Lot's yet to do but a step at a time . Plans include; a snack shack to cover the base of the monitor, some scale bleachers and a continual scenery backdrop. Also the body shop/painting area will be on the other side of the scenery panel. Fun project .
