Doing some rearranging. Expanded the pits so things will be a little more functional during a proxy race  . Took the road course out and will be setting up a different one else where. It will be a routed 3 laner, 3' x 8'. Got the pits all re-paved today. They will get striped later. Lot's yet to do but a step at a time . Plans include; a snack shack to cover the base of the monitor, some scale bleachers and a continual scenery backdrop. Also the body shop/painting area will be on the other side of the scenery panel. Fun project . I love the projects Gayle. You are inspiring me to do things at Bear Creek. Thanks for sharing! |

Got the lot stripped, turned out pretty fair. Room for 60 proxy racers, should be about right for most events.
........and a quick look at the progress so far, for the painting area. This will really make the building & tuning area a lot more functional & roomy.
Gonna have to back off for a while and get my cars ready for Jeff's race  . |

Looks good Gale, I actually cleaned of my work bench for the first time in years. 4x8 bench had about 1x1 work area!!!

Tore my 4GO car all down, did some miscellaneous stuff to it while putting it back together and now it instantly deslots  . I'm hopin' that's a good thing and that it'll run much better once I get a wheelie bar on it. We'll see  . |

Well, needed more than just a wheelie bar  . Wound up tearing it completely down again and ran everything I could thru the ultrasonic cleaner, new motor brushes & springs. Still wouldn't reliably stay in the slot so went with the wheelie bar. Wound up having to put in a new crown gear after that . We all know how that happens, huh . Plus , I ran it on the dyno for 2 plus hours with the rear housing packed full of polish, it looked a little thin & worn when compared to a new one. And of course, 2 teeth were missing  . Anyways, it consistently runs under a second now so good enough for now. Should get a little better as the crown gear wears in, I hope. I spent more time on the 4GO than all the other entries combined, for the Smokey Mtn. Nats. this go around. That's just crazy |

Well I'm glad to say the road course at Good Time Speedway is ready for tomorrows event. The intention to route a 3 lane 3' x 8' didn't work out, so went with the Tomy track on hand. It was a scramble but finished it up today. Soldered all the track connections, what a PIA but the kids are gonna love it. It is semi-portable and will be torn down and stored in the garage for next year's event, after tomorrow.

Just sharing some video I been playin' with. Camera is an Eken H9R action camera and the video is edited with NCH Video Pad software. The camera shoots at 60 fps but still pretty streaky .
