Got the back pit wall done, turned out okay. Was hoping the chain link would stand out a little bit more but such is life .

Looks great, chain link and signs are a nice touch. I am a country boy and I like the back ground scene.

Finally got the bleachers fabbed. Still have to sand and paint but the hard part is done . Alpink had sent me a bag of people last year at the Wa Nats, so set a few of them on it to see how it looked, thanks again alpink! I have his bag and another bag off ebay coming tomorrow so hoping that populates the bleachers pretty fair. I been tryin' to figure a way to make these bleachers for about 8 months so am real glad they took shape finally . Next is the food area.

Looks good Gale. When the figures are placed it adds a nice touch. Your track is coming along very nicely. Looks great.

the bleachers are perfect. interested in your technique! Ha, far from perfect. They are made from MDF and fabbed on the CNC. The bleacher itself is 3/4" MDF and the triangular uprights (3) are 1/2" . Originally wanted to write a program to do it but didn't have the knowledge to do so with out it taking well over 12 hours . Had already glued it together and rather than scrap it decided to give it a go manually. Moved the CNC bit manually where I wanted it for each pass. Still took almost an hour & half but close enough to what I was wanting that I'm going to go with it. I figure once it's populated with people, the imperfections won't be as noticeable. I also originally planned on having 3 sets of steps in it but that would have been way to hard to do manually. I was considering another plan just using a 45 degree V bit and routing the piece flat which would have given me a bleacher with a steeper angle at 45 degrees, which would have been okay. One could fabricate one along those lines using a router table fairly easily, I would think. Any more questions . . . fire away.

Sweet looking bleachers for sure!! It's time for me to do some upgrading. I've been wanting some wood bleachers for awhile. Never have seen anything for sale that I like or that didn't cost a small fortune. Mine will have to be built the old fashioned way. Good Times Speedway is really coming together Gale!! May I ask for the Ebay item number for the peeps you found there? Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Jeff! Here's where I'm at with peeps on ebay.
This photo shows from left to right; the peeps from alpink which I'm pretty sure are 1:50 (O scale), next are the ones I just received off ebay advertised as 1:64 but pretty sure they are 1:75 (S scale) and the black resin ones are 1:64 Nitro Drivers off ebay.
These 1:50 'O' scale peeps are somewhat plentiful on ebay. Here's a link to one seller that I'm watching.
These are the ones I got off ebay that appear to be 1:75 'S' scale. The seller only had 2 bags of 100 and is now out. This scale was, for me, really hard to find searching ebay but I did come up with some vendors. Here is a link that I purchased 3 bags from reasonably. They don't appear to be painted very well if at all but the price was right. I don't think I'll see them until after late January.
These "Nitro Drivers" seemed cool when painted up and got these off ebay here and they seem pretty close to 1:64.
And these are some peeps sent to me by another forum member and they appear to be HO scale 1:87 which is noticeably a little smaller than the 1:75.
I plan on using all these sizes, just not sure how or where just yet. I do only want to have one size in the stands and hope I can mix it up, else where.
Hope this is of some help .
