Well that was a disappointing nights racing for the sandfly team, the Mac's tools top fueler out first round to some dodgy start line actions, we did however pick up a win in line with the cuda again, i may need to spend some time with my cars as most are now just of the pace picking up 3rd and 4th places. There was no worth while pics to be had but a great nights racing. Next week we are back at the ole rattle track, Mustang Alley. See you there.

That's a lot of classes to run. How long does it take to run an event?

That's a lot of classes to run. How long does it take to run an event? Depends on those racing, but a normal night with 7 drivers and a bit of story telling 3.5- 4 hours after qualifying.

"Ruh roh!". we have found with the extra weight and i think our min weight is 35 grams, this can help with traction, so with an above average chassis they actually go fast.

After last weeks poor showing i had the crew doing overtime on sunday, gave the mac's tools top fueler a good going over and made it slower, did a few runs and found the brushes were going black, new brushes and boom on the pace again, gave all the 4 gear cars a tune and for the first time in ages used a few sets of brushes. So last nights racing was at Mustang Alley the fastest nostalgic plastic track in the county, the team came away with chicken dinners in top fuel, mac's tools and inline with the cuda. Next week we are back at Sandfly Alley, cant wait.

have you tried burning the oil out of the motor brushes? I hold the brush with a tweezer and put a flame to it until it turns orange then set it somewhere safe too cool. clean the soot off and it will be nearly like new if it is not worn too thin. some people use a chisel tip soldering iron instead of a flame. it works. if you already knew this, maybe someone else didn't. always like to see your posts.
