Well that was fun, night started by giving it to the ice man, not a wise move, earned myself a warm vb bitter, yuck and to top it off also got another one for a red light. Qualifying was fast only ran the cars once and dead cold. had some interesting times. Its a big thing some like it hot some not so much and some like it cold, depending on the car the difference in time can be as much as 0.050, noted last week with a small warm up on the cars they went slower as the night went on, so last night no warm ups. Alf was back and enjoyed himself to the point he also scored a vb. Pony boy aka the pony whisperer made a return from covid, with way to much time doing nothing he had prepped all his cars which made for some fast racing. Little boys were served for supper, these were enjoyed by all. To the racing we went, ofr- vw in 3 gear, willies in t jet. 4ths- ghost in pro mod, willies in gasser, rat fink in outlaw and mac's tools in top fuel. 3rds- jegs in pro stock 2nds- jungle jim in nostalgia, parts plus in top fuel. Chicken dinners for willies in vintage gas and a track record as well and mopar in pro stock. Alf raced the scribble and the 52 chev so unsure where they finished. Camp mother as usual getting in the way, next week we are back at the pony club for some rattle track action.

I got the opportunity to visit New Zealand in November 2019 before Covid locked everything down. It is the one place in the world I would leave where I currently live for. I hope to visit again, and next time I will be bringing cars to race.

Well lets see if i cam remember anything from last thursday. To the pony club we went, seem to remember getting a welcome punishment drink, must be a thing now. Qualifying was interrupted with this guy losing parts again. Not to be out done this guy also decided to help, or was it to just get in the way. For some unknown reason the f100 decided to go extra slow, found the rear tires were hitting the body, had me beat this had never happened before. so we didnt do very well. So to the racing, i have to remember that my cars dont go well here. Not sure if anyone went out first round. 4ths- Mopar in pro stock, Willies gasser in gasser and mac's tools in top fuel. 3rds- Jegs in Pro stock and rat fink in outlaw. 2nds- Jungle jim in nostalgia, Ghost in Pro mod and parts plus in top fuel. So holding the team together and providing a very light meal was the Willies gasser in vintage gas. This week we are back at the other rattle track waverly park. See you there. As it happens You should always check tire clearance when swapping tire sizes, the truck was running slightly smaller tires than the rest, and as they were the only one i had, these went on to the parts plus top fueler, shorter track was trying to get out the hole quicker, didnt work. so the smaller tires have gone back on the truck. Bugger.

So there it was, i actually made it to matts first. On entry to the shed i found these guys waiting. Never to be disappointed, they were handed out as door prizes, and they were even warm. To qualifying we went, most of the cars behaved, tho probably just a tiny bit slower after being cleaned, these should be on song for next week. The hustle and bustle of qualifying, every man for himself. The sand fly pit box, all ready and waiting. To the racing we went, some cars went well others not so much, The f100 lowered the track record twice to .857 sec at 18 v over the 1000 ft distance, not to shabby. 4ths- Ghost in pro mod, gtx in funny car, willies gasser and rat fink in outlaw. 3rds- Willies in vintage gas and Mac's in top fuel. 2nds- none. Got a pic of an actual race. Woo Hoo chicken dinners we were having a feast in the pits. Winner, winner, winner, Jungle jim in nostalgia, F100 in truck and Parts plus in top fuel. Next week we are back at sand fly for our ANZAC race meet, with a special street out laws style race for the nostalgia cars. Should be interesting, see you there.

Right lets do this. The waiting is on, wonder who will turn up. As usual with the fast pace of being track promotor i always seem to miss out on taking pictures. So here is one of my race sheet before the meet. Six drivers made the effort to turn up, mia was the ice man and Alf. During the setting of the fields there was a lot a cheeky banter from the other end of the shed so a punishment drink was handed out, that shut them up. To the racing we went, OFR- willies in t jet NS VW IN 3 gear. 4th- Jungle jim in nostalgia, mopar in pro stock, Willies gasser. 3rd- jegs in pro stock, ghost in pro mod, fram in top fuel. 2nds- mac's in top fuel not a very good night so far, the round of 63% honey Burbon may have taken a toll on reactions, or something cause very one was having a great time. So a eating we went with chicken dinners to, f100 in truck, willies in vintage gas and gtx in funny car. Next post will be from the moonshine panel and paint shed.

Yea race night again from the temple of dust, moonshine panel and paint. According to pony boy it was cold, but i think he just needs some concrete pills. Mia again was the ice man, boy he has a lot of dog birthdays, also missing was alf, those cars of his were coming along just fine, but with a few weeks lay off they will be slow again when he returns. The yummy sausage rolls arrived just after racing started, gone in a flash. Some would say they were probably hot. The lawn mower man dealing to another innocent victim. To the racing not sure that the track was up to its usual standard, some cars seemed slow. OFR- the same usual suspects, the willies and the vw. 4th- willies gasser, ratfink in outlaw. 3rd- mopar in pro stock, gtx in funny car. 2nd- willies in vintage gas, ghost in pro mod, parts plus in top fuel. Looking a bit grim again. Chicken dinners to jungle jim in nostalgia and f100 in truck. And just to prove camp mother has been painting... All going well we should be back at the ice cave next week, till then.

Well lets just start with saying that was some very poor racing buy the top fuel team. yes it was f**n cold, heater was on but you had to book a spot to use it. Qualifying went ok with a few cars making it to the top of the ladder. An ominous sign these were... The nearly warm VB bitters as red-light drinks, 3 went in the first 3 races, must have been the cold. Matt joining camp mother or was it the other way around. The ice man enjoying himself, those reds were going out the door faster than a fly on a greasy chop. To the racing, not good reading.. ofr- vw buss ofr red lights, mac's tools, parts plus, fram, all top fuelers and all in the top 4 qualifiers. 4ths- willies in t jet, willies in gasser. 3rds- jegs in pro stock, rat fink in out law. 2nds- F100 in truck, ghost in pro mod, gtx in funny car. Ron the train guy keeping an eye on the pony whisperer. yes, well the reading aint so good, but chicken dinners and records, records to the mopar in pro stock at .866 not to be out done the jegs did a .865 in clutching 3rd place. The ever fast willies in vintage gas took the record to .862. Chicken dinners went to mopar in pro stock and willies in vintage gas. Next week we are back at the pony club rattle track. see you there.
