Racing tonight, yes i will be there, cars are prepped, race fuel is ready, only have to dodge the pony sh-t and were off, see you there.

Yes we went a racing, no heater tho, was raining and thunder and lightning. Some would say it was a non-event, but there were some bright spots.  5.5 drivers were in attendance, no ice man or Ron the train guy, a broken Alf turned up to be the stand in driver. He managed two Alfs, made a change from being Ronned. To the racing, just ran the cars through qualifying and they did ok. The sand fly drivers were either on it, not on it or away to soon. ofr-gtx in funny car 4th- Mopar in pro stock, Catch me in pro mod 3rd- Jungle Jim in nostalgia, Jegs in pro stock, Ghost in pro mod. 2nd- Scribble in nostalgia, Willies in vintage gas, took the record down 3 times to .885 from a .889, f100 in truck  We were eating with the 52 chev in truck. Red lights and slow starts proved to be a large factor in the results esp in top fuel. Next week we are back at waverly park. |

Rain has stopped for the moment, frosts are back, when will it end. Racing tonight at waverly park, put a brand new 4 gear chassis under the ghost, lets see how that goes.

Just a quick update on the ghost, was jumping out and behaving badly at waverly park, had another session before racing at home last week, smashed the record and its flying, moonshine panel and paint here we come. Didnt eat at waverly park but made up for it at home with 5 wins, hope to keep this up.
FYI i have cut out the race fuel and now drink dirty water as its known, 0% beers this may have something to do with the poor showing just lately. Still drinking my home brew gin tho.

Ok the ghost did it again taking the record off pony boy, down to 0.772, we were eating with wins to jungle jim, jegs, 52 chev and parts plus.
Back to the ice cave next week.

Ok its Thursday, that means its race day/night, back to the short tracks, the ice man said its running slow, we shall see. Did a bit of prep work on the pts plus top fueler so till later.

OK the ghost was at it again, took the record from pony boy to a .628 for the 1000 ft. A nervous start meant a red light, but the record was what i was after. Of the 13 cars entered 9 recorded points. 3rds to willies in vintage gas, gtx in funny car, ghost in pro mod and fram in top fuel. 2nds to jungle jim in nostalgia, 52 chev in truck.  Chicken dinners to mopar in pro stock, f100 in truck and catch me in pro mod. Had the delray back for some testing, this used to be my fast tjet from years ago, have now put a green arm in it, wants to go but keeps de slotting. |

Well there you go, another night in the books, boy those rattle tracks are, well you know, never mind there's another one next week at waverly park.  Po's looking very intently at something, not sure what it was, camp mother worrying about something. To the racing and there not much to report. 4ths- fram in top fuel and 52 chev in truck, 3rds- Jungle jim in nostalgia and mopar in pro mod, 2nds- f100 in truck, Willies in vintage gas and catch me in pro mod.  We were eating with the ghost in pro mod and with a new track record, taking the record to .665 for the 1000 ft at 20v. Only waverly park to go and the ghost will have the record at each track. The delray is back under construction/modification so we shall see how that goes. Note no red lights. Still not a good night at the races. Till next week... |

Ok it had stopped raining but was bitterly cold. Qualifying went ok with some expected times.  Matts been out buying more stuff from swap meets. To the racing, now we must remember that we are racing on a rattle track and a few of the cars dont like that. 4th- jegs in pro stock 3rds- mopar in pro stock, f100 in truck, catch me in pro mod, 2nds- willies in vintage gas, gtx in funny car, mac's in top fuel.  Chicken dinners to jungle jim in nostalgia and the ghost in pro mod, also took the record twice down to .623 for the 1000 ft. The ghost now holds the pro mod record at all tracks. Fyi, the ghost runs in pro mod which is 20v 4 gear open class with 6ohm armatures.  Next week we are back home. see you then. |
