ok lets be quick,
only 2 cars not in the points, mopar in pro stock, fram in top fuel.
4th-scribble in nostalgia, jegs in pro stock,52 chev in truck, mac's in top fuel.
3rd- jungle jim in nostalgia,
2nd- gtx in funny car, parts plus in top fuel, catch me in pro mod,
Chicken dinners to
f100 in truck, Willies in vintage gas and the ghost in pro mod.
No records but pony boy took the 4 gear nostalgia record at 18v over the 1/4 mile down to .991, not bad for a standard car.

Quick get the dust masks we are back to moonshine panel and paint, one day he will get this car finished, tinkered with the jungle jim, parts plus and the ghost, need more speed....

Well you know with all the dust and the cramped conditions and the constant neighing from the mustang corner it was a night for the ole red lights to appear again.
4 in total, a good way to drop points at the sticky end of the year.
The prepped cars went better but were held back by the red lights. Dam.
4ths- jungle jim nostalgia, Jegs pro stock.
3rds- mac's top fuel, catch me pro mod
2nds- f100 in truck.
chicken dinners- willies in vintage gas and with a new track record again the ghost in pro mod with .755.
next week we are back at the ice cave see you there.

There you go you can never tell what's going to happen!. 7 racers turned up on a not so cold night to brave the ice cave conditions, POW these were waiting,  Yummy drinks for the red lighters, best news was that a max of two allowed per person, so don't be the first to red light. Qualifying went ok with a few tq's.  These two were up to no good. To the racing. 4th- gtx in funny car, 3rd- scribble in nostalgia, f100 in truck, mac's tools in top fuel, 2nd- jungle jim nostalgia, catch me pro mod,  Chicken dinners for 52 chev in truck, willies in vintage gas, ghost in pro mod (new record at .604), pts plus in top fuel, also did a .695 not far off the record. Next week we are back at the corral, where we will hear neighing, the clopping of hooves and the gentle sounds of mustang's being thrashed. Till then. |

Looks like the pony boy had been on the trail all day, what a night. Missed classes, calling the wrong cars to race, but never mind.
During the wait for racing to start, knowing the race director had had a few drinks already, the sand fly crew chief was giving the corral master a bit of jip, not a good move, won a nice warm out of date corona, tasted like it had been mixed with something from the corral.
QF was as expected whilst i struggled with the punishment.
To the racing,
13 cars entered, 7 cars made the final rounds, 2 recorded red lights as well.
4th-52 chev in truck.
3rd- nil, none, zip.
2nd- f100 in truck, catch me in pro mod and parts plus in top fuel.
CHICKEN DINNERS, yea, jungle jim in nostalgia, willies in vintage gas and the ghost in pro mod also with a new record .660 for the 1000ft at 20v.
Next week we are back at waverly park, the end of year racing is closing fast, hold on to your hats, till next week....

Well thats it, final night of points racing, we head on over to waverly park for more rattle track action, cars have been ignored so should go well, till tomorrow.

Well its not good reading, qf went ok then the first few rounds were ok then trouble hit.
Waverly was at the start line doing a gentle warm up, then smoke or what he called smoke, holy smoke the controllers smoking on the job, this is definitely against ohs rules.
This malfunction ended the last points nights racing for the year, you know way back when i rebuilt the sand fly track i mentioned that all tracks should have the same controller plugs in case any failed, then it would be a quick trip to borrow another controller, as waverly park has different plugs and no spare ones made up, boom that was the end.
So what did we do, we had a natter session, got home at the normal time.
I will let you know who won what when i know.
Next week sees us back at the fastest track, sand fly alley for an end of year thrash.
Standard 4 gear field, no green arms or top fuelers. Every car entered will race.
Qualifying field will be cut in half with an "A" group and "B" group to be run together, winner of "A" will race winner of "B" for the champ.
This idea received the nod of approval from all drivers, I then added that i had yet to determine the voltage for qualifying and for racing and the race could be 1/4 mile or 1000 ft, that got their attention, till later....

The clock is ticking, day -4, track prep tonight, need it real fast with plenty of bite, perhaps even a good ole clean esp start line.
Could take a few gins to get this done.

Count down -3 days, super-duper clean last night on the track surface, looks mint, tonight we will reset the light sensors and figure out what cars we are going to run, body swap time, the tension is building.
