It's also only 1/8th mile. I haven't started building yet, but I'm going for much more than a stocker. Don't know how successful I will be, but I'm up for the challenge.

I will be working on it. Have not tried anything special yet including weight, just took traction magnets off. One of the real hot ones wont go 2 inches but that is one that can beat 2.5 inline modifieds and runs 40 mph. I think we may be able to get away with a 6-7 ohm but with weak old stock magnets. I doubt anyone will get under 1 second ET but who knows.

1/8TH mile so under 1 sec should be attainable.

No traction magnets in the unlimited class will be tough. Anything other than a stocker I have tried will not go down the track. Dave, Running unlimited Tjets without traction magnets should be a lot like racing your Barretta. It'll be interesting to see how everybody tries to solve the traction problems. Bill

Yes the Beretta always thought the rear end should take the lead. I have an old VHS video of the car sideways at about 100+ mph where I kept it off the wall. This will be a lot safer racing but it will be interesting. I have some ideas about what to try but we will see.

Wow, tried some more T jets running with no traction magnets. If you like demolition derby this is for you. Even with fairly mild chassis I have had more wrecks in one short test session than in about 6 months of running. Definitely putting some junk bodies on for that one.

Broke the 1/8th in under a second. Tires are going to be the key. Cars are spinning all the way down the track. Some of the runs are pretty spectacular, fishtail city.

1/8 mile in 1/64 scale should be about 10' 4" if I calculated right. Is that what we're looking at running?

1/8 mile in 1/64 scale should be about 10' 4" if I calculated right. Is that what we're looking at running? Yes that is correct, 10'-3,3/4" is the spread on my photo eyes. The track is tomy with track mate adjustable voltage at 20 amps and bolth lanes fire simultaneously. I will have more to share after i make the post office with my cars for jj's race .put clear on at 6 o'clock last night .ok the hauler just rolled in gotta go

Starting to get the cars more stable going down the track. Really weird, adding weight to some helped, taking it out helped others??? Cleaning the tires before each run is a must. Tires are crucial. What works on one will not work on another.

In my last race one of the racers won a class by only listening to the sound of the motor when tuning it.

Was able to get one of the Dash 4 ohms down the track. It actually started to fishtail at about the 660 point.

Tried a 1 ohm armature. Actually made it down the track once while flying into the catch box in the air. I think the wheels are going 40 mph, right at the start, and the car is going about 5. Poor thing hit the floor more times than a mop. I put 10 grams of weight on the back of it with 2 armature stuck on poster putty but that was no help at all, tire spin city all the way down until it flies off the track. I sure know that will not work. Got the car with the mean green arm going down the track smoothly now.
