Got one in the .8 range @ 1000ft. Curious to find out how it will do in the 1/8th mile. The track is apart now, had to use the tables to sell old car & truck parts at a swap meet.

That's very good for a no magnet car Bill.
The 2 14 ohm cars are running good now, one has amazed me. No traction magnets cars are going down the track now. Weight added in front and back + good tires, not to much arm or magnet, very mild setup. Slow compared to the 14 ohm cars with magnets.

Here are my cars for Gnomes race: Maroon 64 Corvette & red 36 Ford for the 14 ohm with traction magnet class. White 67 Camaro & red 70s Dodge for the no traction magnet unlimited class. No contest between the two the 14 ohms are quicker and faster. Speeds are close with the 14 ohm having a slight edge but the ET difference is quite a bit. The unlimiteds are still accelerating at the finish where the high ohms are pretty wound out. This was at the 1000' mark at 660 all are still accelerating. Unlimiteds are consistently going down the track now. Mild setup and weight added at strategic points = no deslots or fishtailing. 1 ohm armature = ballistic missile and never finishing. I've been working on my Gasser. It gets a little sideways at the start but, it's moving along slightly better now lol. I'm not sure if this will work... 20181008_171521(1) by ratrodfanbobcat, on Flickr

Looks like it is making power. Try some weight in the back and a wheelie bar.

for a t-jet chassis, a test wheelie bar can be fashioned from a used pickup shoe. straighten it out some and put the rear body screw through the rectangular "window". then bend it to be barely off the track. this will provide you with a test device until you are ready to install something more permanent. you will have to adjust it before each pass.

Hey guys, I asked Gnome and he said to ask the consensus of the group and gear changes on the Gasser class. I think I inadvertently put a AW 4G crown gear in my Gasser T-Jet last night as I had them both torn apart.
So do I need to switch it back if I did indeed goof up? Or are gear changes permitted?

The rules (NTRA Super Stock) states "no restrictions" under Gears/Axles so changes are allowed.

I hate to do this but I am going to have to withdraw my entries. With being slammed at work for the last month, trying to keep the house remodel going, and Patriot Guard missions, I just haven't have had any time to work on them. Good news is I am ordering my track tomorrow! I will be sending the participant decals. Are you having a "Best Appearing" contest? If so, I will send along a few prizes for that.

Bum deal but completely understand, I'm not a posed to having a best in show sure no one else is . That is awfully generous and appreciated! !! Don't sweat it you'll still have a presence at the race ,we'll get a shot at you next race . Thank you gnome

3 of the 4 cars for the race are running good. The 4th, this is one of the no magnet cars, will not 60' to save itself. The weird thing is that it was doing OK in that dept. and falling off some on top. I took it apart for a final cleaning and it had a Horsepower jump, picking up 2 mph at the finish. However it is spinning the tires to hard in the early stages losing ET.. This car has a 4 ohm arm with 4 laminations and they are usually sluggish off the line. This one is a tire spinner. I tried several wheel tire combinations and have the weight all the way up to 29 grams which helped some but it cannot match the car with the mean green in it no matter what I try. I will be shipping the cars out sometime next week.
