I wasn't sure how well the hood scoop would look since I just quickly whittled it out of a chunk of styrene but, it looks pretty darn good at that angle lol. That's the car, well the chassis, I bought from dave632 on ebay with a new body. It had a pretty beat up old Cougar body on it before.

Gnome My hauler left today. Expected arrival is Wednesday. Things got really busy and I didn't get the time I wanted for building and tuning. My first shot at building a Tjet. Learned a lot and have some ideas on the next ones I build. I agree with Dave on leaving it at 18V if you have another race with no traction mags. It was fun trying to get them down the track. I finally settled for a little slower but more consistent set up. I started with a blown motor and when it got down the track it ran ok ? I think ? My best 1/8 mile was .660 it was one of those runs where you can read the name on the car from both sides if it didn't shake its guts out. It was on its roof more than not. So I put a injected motor in and it was still pretty violent but a little more consistent. The best 1/8 mile was .850 still could read the name on both sides on the car but didn't crash as much. If I cleaned the tires it would go into a violent tire shake. If he could drive through the shake it would lose some on the E.T. The best was when it would spin the tires like slipping the clutch but not to much and it was a nice smooth pass. Placement of the weight was very critical. My final weight was 28g. My Gasser's best 1/8 mile E.T. was .640 I don't know if that's good or not ?But running on a plastic track can be all different. It's gonna be fun what ever happens. Gnome Thanks for putting on this race. Looking forward to some fun and very exciting side by side racing.

Looks like the pits are filling up.
I ran my tests at 20 volts so I have no idea how they will run at 18. Should be more consistent without traction mags. The 14 ohm cars had no problems at 20 so 18 will be a piece of cake. They were much quicker than the low ohm no traction magnet cars.

J Bailey's Bel Air, pictures just don't do this car (or any) justice. Thought I would share a couple of close ups of this car. Really nice. Some good old memories of racing against the old 409 64 Chevy's with my 55 Chevy way back when.

Here comes the Judge, here comes the Judge. What could be more appropriate for cruising Woodward Ave than a GTO Judge powered by a Ram Air 455, with a Muncie 4 speed. Along with the Judge is the Blue Fire GTO convertible. For the Gasser class the SC crew is sending a Studebaker and Willys Panel Van I Looking forward to some racing action. Here is the 55 Studebaker that you were mentioning: Rude StudeWheelie time

Yep, that's the one! Its one sharp body. Whenever I find one on ebay, I get lots of bidding competition. Interesting that yours has red glass, while mine is gray. At one point I was thinking of making it into a Salt Flats car but decided to leave it a gasser after seeing one in the video Kiwi posted for this race. Thanks for posting the picture.

Looks like you are adding some scenery to your track, looks good. Thanks to the sponsors for adding some excitement to the race. Always interesting to see your cars come back with more than they left with.
