Rick, sounds like we have a race. Should be fun to watch what happens. Hopefully Christine does not run amok. My quickest stocker time here was 1.2034 @ 12.74 MPH. I tried to put a red headlight bulb in the Plymouth but the space was just to tight. Trying to figure out why these cars act like they do is a big puzzle, expecially the pancake cars one day they run good the next they fall flat. At the last race I sent the inline stock red 55 Chevy which was running high 4s here at one time but could not come near that elsewhere. The chassis I put in the Rebel is about a full tenth slower than the original chassis despite all components being the same.

A little run down on the bunch motor city raceway sent.the wagon is my stock entry and was running strong .8s at 660' hopefully it puts me in the 1.to 1.2 range should make for some good racing. The car i sent for gassers is my wife's road racing t-jet,i took off the .430 pink silly foams and putt some .490 racing slcks on.with the slicks we were in the .5s . The New Zealand challenge is going to see the rock n rolls ,it to was running strong with consistent. 660 at 660' as for the list cars grimace was .450s and dreamcycle was running. 480s . But as we all know too well that could all change come race day . My cars seem to like jj's track though sure is shaping up to be another great event. Gnome

Tick Tock.......Tick Tock.........
The clock is ticking down to RACEDAY!! Just a reminder that the race schedule has changed slightly as I posted earlier. Qualifying will start Thursday evening once I get home from work. I will try to post the times and qualifying order Thursday night depending on how smooth it goes. I had originally planned on the race starting Thursday morning. As a consequence of this, racing will continue on Sunday. So it all evens out. I will post the tentative race schedule each day so everybody knows what's up. I am sorry for the lack of a race poster. I just haven't had the time to sit down and get one done What's in store.......Proxy drag racing on Nitroslots at it's BEST! Great fun and competition. There is sure to be some great racing in each Class. A trophy plaque will be awarded to the Top Eliminator of each Class and a Best in Show trophy plaque that includes ALL cars will be awarded as well. The Kiwi Challenge has it's own awards for this meeting that includes a winning race team trophy plaque for this event and a Trophy helmet created by Hairy Canary that will be passed back and forth to the winning team at each meeting going forward. A huge thanks to Gale for all of his work on the trophy plaques! They look awesome! Another huge thank you to Rick for his vision and work on the trophy helmet! It is equally as awesome! Also added in last minute is a cast resin ball cap with the N.Z. and U.S. colors on the bill that will go to the Kiwi Challenge car with the lowest ET for the weekend. Pretty cool stuff and I'm very happy to be giving it all away for the 2019 NTRA Winter Nationals. This is an unsponsored event.........but Rick has sent some very nice 4g Capri FC and Tjet '57 Corvette bodies. Everybody gets a body and I have some miscellaneous small parts containers that will also be making the return trip home. Gale also sent some other miscellaneous goodies that will be included. So.....as always tends to happen.....everybody is pulling together to make this another great event at Bear Creek Dragway! Thanks to everybody that entered and the contributors. I am doing some final track tuning and checks and garage organizing this evening, but otherwise we are ready! The pits are active.......the 2019 NTRA Winter Nationals begins in approximately 48hrs .

2019 NTRA Winter Nationals
Bear Creek Dragway track records up for grabs:
Tjet Stock @ 13.8v 1.848et Escamilla Chicks 2015 Winter Nationals Tjet Gasser @ 18v .800et Pceng 2014 Winter Nationals 4 gear Stock @ 18v .8998et JJWallace Kiwi Challenge #3 Pro Street Outlaw/Pancake Comp @ 18v .5883et Nosubfor3 2018 Winter Nationals Four Gear Outlaw/Pancake Comp @ 20v .6561et Hairy Canary 2018 Texas Nationals I like the idea of showing track records and I will also show them at my race. As far as my cars go for this event. My 4 gear outlaw had Jungle Jim partying to much so that car will drop some slots most likely. The 57 Chevy Nomad would not 60' to save its life with the new chassis but the MPH was good running 24 MPH here, it will most likely drop a couple of spots but the old chassis is resting waiting for another chance. The 4 gear stock will most likely fall in the middle of the field and hopefully be enough for whatever Kiwi car it races. The 58 Plymouth, AKA Cristine, is possessed and will most likely cause some trouble. It was as quick and fast as the Rebel and should annihilate your track gasser record, ran .677 @ 24 MPH here. It also was firing thunderbolts at any cars that were close to it so watch out. I sent the Chevelle along, which has some armor plating, to help out. My T jet stockers should do OK, they were both well under your T jet stock record. FYI........The Tjet records were set in 2014 and 2015 on my versions 1 and 2 AFX sectioned tracks with a single power supply powering both lanes. The set up we are on now is night and day better than that was. I expect those records to fall big time. The other three I think are going to stand.

2019 NTRA Winter NationalsupdateI have some good news and some bad news ......Good news first.......Ecbill your cars have arrived and Rick your extra Stock entry arrived. I have not unpacked anyone's cars yet so I am getting started with that. Once that is done, cars will go through tech and I am going to make every attempt to get the cars qualified this evening. I will probably not get times posted, but if I do, it will be later tonight. I also want to do some arrival pics, so tonight will be more of an organizational night to get me set up for tomorrows racing. Now for the bad news.....Gnome and Dungeonracer....your cars have not shown up. Gnome it looks like your cars were in Ft Worth at 11am this morning. They will probably be here tomorrow. Dungeonracer....I'm not sure if you sent cars as I have no update from you. Cars that show up tomorrow will get to race depending on the race schedule. Buuuuut.......you are going to miss Tjet Stock since that will run first. Let's see how it goes, but that's the way it looks like it's going to play out. I will be unlocking the race thread this evening so look there for all of the racing action. As the race goes on, I will post what page each Race day can be found on the first page of the thread. That will make it easier to find information. Not sure of race format yet. I will have that figured out by tomorrow morning. OK everybody....thanks for being a part of the race! Get ready for the next 3 days of drag racing at Bear Creek Dragway! Good luck to all!!
