WELCOME to the First HOT AUGUST NATIONALS at Good Time Speedway!
Well now, that didn't take long. . . . . . . Sorry for the huge delay guys. Had issues with some cars. One needs a wheelie bar, set it aside, hoping that won't take too long to install and qualify it. Another, had a lot of trouble getting the braids adjusted, the shunts seemed really stiff. Re-did a rear body mount on one so as the wheelie bar would keep it in the slot. Another's front axle is locked solid and probably needs reamed out but waiting on an answer to a PM from the owner. It just goes on and on . I seriously am attempting to get everyone's cars qualified so please hang in there. I think we're good time wise yet. Just been a challenging morning. I'm posting a few pics of cars qualifying and the qualifying chart so far, still would like to qualify two more cars but wanted you all to see where every ones at so far . Please give me another hour or so to see if I can do the necessary repairs and get these 2 qualified. Thanks

Okay, not real good news but we are moving forward. Could not get gibbo61's Anglia to stay in the slot even with a wheelie bar, tried and tried. It runs really strong, just not going to qualify today. Another really strong runner is sjracer's tjet Camaro. Finally got it to qualify in each lane but it hops in and out all the way down in both lanes. Sure seems like a contender. Best time I could get was a 1.502 ET.
Sorry guys, I tried.
The first round of eliminations is going to start very soon. Here is the bracket chart that shows everyone's placement. We're rollin' now

First round of eliminations:
The Camaro & the Anglia are both strong running cars. Neither one had much luck putting that power to the road today. The Willys led the Vette from start to finish.
Two really sweet yellow rides. The Nova takes it at the finish. The Anglia falters at the start and lets the Willys Delivery get about 6 or 7 car lengths on him but the Anglia grabs hold just before half way and passes the Willys just before the traps. Looked close!
The Chevelle gets to the finish line first with a perfect run. The Tomb Raider is one of the many cars today having trouble getting the power to the track. This one could have been closer but the Willys hesitates off the line and gives it to the Henry J.
These two beauty's faced off in qualifying also. The Green Willys blisters down the track for the win. No upset here, the AJ Garage Nova takes it easily.
I'm not normally superstitous but there might be sumpthin' to this Christine business. That's what it looked like at the starting line after Christine took the win. Nasty, nasty.
Gettin' closer!
EDIT: I put an ET for sjracer when racing Christine, that should be a zero, sorry.

Second round of eliminations went quickly.
First up is the Orange & Silver Willys of nosubfor3 and the infamous ( ) Christine built by dave632. Christine takes it with no added funny business. .694 vs .844
thingyney Rebel ran much better this time around but not good enough to keep Sister Sister from taking the win with a .750 vs .857
The Henry J had a pretty normal run but way off the mark to get close to Dave's 70 Chevelle. .665 vs .816
Kevin's Green Willys is on fire and takes another win. .690 vs .792

I'll post the bracket chart at the end.
Semi Finals:
The 58 Plymouth sends another one packin'. Takes it away from the Yellow Nova .714 vs .815
Thought Kevin might be able to pull this one off but to no avail, the 70 Chevelle takes the win with a .659 vs .710
FINALS:
Well Dave has got both his cars in the finals. I wonder which one will win ..............
The 58 Plymouth has it's slowest run and easily hands over the win to the 70 Chevelle .668 vs .725
Congratulations Dave on your T-Jet Gasser victory! Congratulations to the finalists, semi-finalists and all competitors. And a big Thank You to all from the Good Time Speedway !!!

Thanks for the good coverage Gale, nice show and also thanks for all the congrats from every one. I am worried that Christine did not win, she will probably smash into the Chevelle tonight. At my track the 58 Plymouth beat the 70 Chevelle every time. I guess the Chevelle was being careful. Times for the Chevelle were very similar to the times on GTSs track but the Plymouth slowed quite a bit.

Great coverage Gale and some good races. Congratulations Dave on the well deserved win. You had better put Christine in a dark room for a while to calm down.
