Good Morning Racers! I would like to Thank all the Sponsors who sent items in to be shared amongst you all. ECBILL ALPINK MAZDA HAIRYCANARY You guys are awesome!
I'd also like to thank all the entrants, without you guys, this race would not be possible!
The qualifying times are all done for both classes. I will post those shortly, plus the N/FC bracket chart.
There are a couple cars in the N/FC class that need a little TLC, so after the mentioned posts, I will be spending a little time with those before the actual racing starts.
In the mean time, please try to enjoy this presentation video I thru together. It's a little shakey so you might want to take your motion sickness pills .

Okay we are rollin' now, sorry 'bout any and all delays .
First round in the N/FC competition.
Interesting matchup, the Cat Woman & the Bird Man (Eagle) . Both make their slowest runs of the event, the Eagle Camaro takes the win.
The Muldowney crew was in the pits early this morning tearin' into the Mustang. They musta got sumpthin' right as they take the win from alpink's Shark. The Shark turns another unusual slow run compared to it's qualifications.
The JEGS car was havin' problems during qualifications getting the power to the pavement. Looks like they might have gotten it sorta' sorted out, still hoppin' & spinnin' off the line though. The Pink Floyd Studebaker makes a good run but not enough as he gives the win to the Dodge.
Kevin's Mustang makes a good run to take the win from mazda's beautifully crafted Capri.
Times turned are posted on the bracket chart.
Round 2 of the N/FC competition comin' up!

Round 2: This round started out with a squeaker and kinda set the pace, had quite a few close and interesting races.
First up was these 2 mopar units, with Bill getting lane 2 and the Challenger of Dave's in lane 1.
The lights go green and Bill's Charger gets a crazy-a$* hole shot, couldn't believe it. But Dave's not givin' in . . . .
. . . makes up some ground and makes it a close finish for the win.
Next up was Bill's Flamed Cuda against nosub's USA-1 Camaro. Bill took his Cuda out for an early lead and hung onto it till the end.
Another good hole shot but Jeff hangs onto this lead all the way to the finish line for the win.
Mike takes a fairly easy win over nosub's Jungle Jim Camaro.
Wish the picture would have had both of these cars in focus, they're beauties. Eagle made a little better run but not near enough to catch the Hairy Canary Cuda.
The ChaCha Muldowney car fell way off but so did the Twisted Texan. The Pinto picks up the win.
The JEGS Dodge shook & spun just a tiny little bit at the start and it's just what the damn Yankee needed to squeak out the win. It seems the Yankee is following the "run slow" fad. Who started that fad anywho?
Kstocks Brand X Mustang makes a good solid run but Rick keeps him at bay with his International Capri.
Times are posted on the bracket chart.
Okay guys, I gotta go take a lunch break and then I'll start on the next round .

Nice going to all who have made the quarter finals. Some real close races there, looks like the MOV was in the thousandths for some of the races.

Here we go with the semi-semi-finals for the N/FC competition. Lotsa close races, seems like most were won at the starting line.
The Hairy Canary Cuda literally leaps off the line in this match up and holds that lead to the finish line for a win.
The Flamed Cuda takes off the line, the Pinto is slow to react and leaves the line slowly. It finds it's power at about the 200' mark but just a wee bit too late as the Cuda of ecbill takes the win in another squeaker.
The Yankee has a strong run which safely gives it the win over the King Cuda.
And yet another hole shot win. The Capri leaps off the line but the Grand Am is in hot pursuit.
But it was all Capri at the finish. Another squeaker, wow!
The Semi-Finals are comin' up next!

Wow! Here we go with the Semi's.
They are both ready at the line. The lights go green. No hole shots, no stutters, nuthin' fancy. Just 2 race cars, both running strong, goin' for the finish line . . . .
A great race! Both cars ran good but the Hairy Canary Cuda comes out on top. At any other time, probably would've been considered a close race but by the standards of today's racing . . . . I don't know. There was less than a half car length between them from my vantage point, seems real close. A lot of close, exciting racing today.
Well now, is Rick gonna race himself in the finals? We'll soon find out. The crowd is on it's feet . The Yankee has gone this far, I think he wants it. The lights go green, here we go . . . . .
Another straight forward race, both cars running strong clean to the finish line. The Yankee takes this one and heads for the Finals.
I'll be back with the results of the Finals shortly!
