Love seeing those gassers on the starting line side by side! It got to be my favorite class. Yup, my favorite too!
Yeah Dave, I noticed there was a Willys or two, in fact there's freaking Willys everywhere  . I'm starting on an inline Willys build, hope to get it done after this weekend  . |

Okay here we go with round 2.
Mazda is up first in this round also. Turns his best time with the 33' but not quite good enough to catch finistauri's Willys who takes it easy this round for the win.
This one looked closer than what the times show. The Austin pulls a win as the Nova slows a tad.
Rick's Vette slows way down but still takes the win from the 33 Willy's strong run.
Both cars are outta the gate like a shot . . . . .
. . . but the Tomb Raider comes outta the slot just after the 660' mark and skidded to a stop. Didn't roll or bounce around, thankful of that. Ricks Falcon takes the win.
Dave's Camaro puts away the Henry J, no problem. When I saw the times it made me wonder if Christine changed body's or sumpthin'  .
This one wound up being a bit of a squeaker. The Big 'T' Willys pulled off the win but at a full tenth slower than it's last run.
Nosub's Willys slows a bit and let's The 58 Plymouth take the win.
Oh, look! A couple Willys . The green Willys of kstocks easily takes the win from gnome's Willys that was a bit off it's mark this run.
Next up will be round 3. No lunch break today fellas . Be back asap.

Congrats to all who made it into the quarter finals.
Seems like my 58 Plymouth "Christine" is having some sort of fit as it had set a new track record for the class here running in the .62s and even giving my PSO car a close race. Must be too busy putting a hex on the other cars so it can't run like it had been.

Round 3
Once again, one of Mazda's cars turns it's best time up against finistauri's Willys. The Austin just couldn't catch him though. Finistauri moves into the semi finals.
Well, one of hairycanary's gasser's is going to the semi finals. The Vette gets real close to it's QT to take the win.
The Willys spins it's wheels clear up to the 60' mark and allows the Camaro to easily take the win with the same ET as it's last run . . . . eerie.
The green Willys of kstocks makes a much better run this round and moves into the semi finals.

SEMI FINALS:
Here we go, both the Vette and the Willys are staged and ready. The lights blink down and it's green! The hairycanary Vette couldn't keep the pace that it had in the last run and gives the win to the Willys of finistauri. Finistauri isin the finals!
Dave's Black Camaro is wanting this one, big time. I don't think Kevin is gonna let him have it. The lights go green and they both get away from the line cleanly. Dave's Camaro makes it to the finish line first to move ahead into the Finals!

Good luck in the final Mike. Looks like we both slowed some. I think Christine tried to put a hex on the Camaro and it back fired!!

Congratulations to Finistauri, (Mike), on his Gasser win, my car had ran a couple of
hundredths quicker than his in the previous round but his saved the best for last.
Thanks again to Gale for running a great show. You really have your track looking great.

I would like to thank you for hosting such a precision and intense event,
I'm new to racing this being only my second race 😁 it has been over 50 years since I've had a slot car. The black Willys in the Gasser Class, represents one of only two cars I had as a young fellow.
Thanks to Dave Vince who has become a dear friend in this last year.
Has helped me get thru very hard times by becoming active in Drag Racing.
Thank you Gale for putting over and above time and effort in this event 😁
PS: Love those turntable videos of all the cars in the event
