The cars from Mazda pulled in today  . I'll be leaving them packaged up till later, heck I have so many body bags of people in the pits, there's no where to put any race cars  . When they get setup in the pits later I'll post some pictures of them.
And Clive sent some sponsorship goodies for everyone! A whole big bag of original AFX chassis and some classic stickers! Way cool  .

Well, one of my 4Gears is getting down the track pretty well with big tires. Not sure if it's because or the effective gear ratio or getting the traction magnets up off the rails. Unfortunately the dragster tires with a diameter of .625 is beyond what the rules allow.
Hopefully I can find some tires with a diameter near the max and do some experimenting.

Bill I am using Super tire .490s stretch mounted on the large 4G rim. This comes in at about .550 which is within the rules. I have tried those big heavy dragster tires and they
seem to kill the bottom end to much.

Hope all is going well with everyone's testing and tuning ! Just a friendly reminder that the Eastern WA Winter Nats begins in 2 weeks. Still enough time for those of you that haven't signed up yet, to get some cars ready to go and get them mailed in a timely manner.

Hey Dave, we've been pretty fortunate this winter in this area but you probably better throw some chains in the tool boxes cause starting tomorrow, we're supposed to get dumped on for 4 or 5 days and I'm pretty sure most of that snow will still be here when you come over the pass and get here  . |

Thanks for the info Gale. We will be getting an early start moving out either tomorrow or Saturday. Cars are running good and Mikes cars might also be a threat now as I did some
work on them for him. I have been working on getting him going with the hobby. The little Willy's is flying and should be a contender. It even beat Christine, who had set a new track
record for the class on my track, on a couple of passes which was not taken well at all.

Cold and snowy with a 20mph north wind here in North Texas today. We don't get that very often here. But it's been a great day to fire up the propane heater and the dragstrip for some final tuning. Cars are set to go out this next Friday.

Cars are set to go out this next Friday. Awesome! I'm gettin' anxious! They are forecasting negative temps for mid week here but should be back up to a normal 28 to 30 by race day. The track will average between 62 to 66 during racing, which is average during the winter.

Got the pits all squared away this morning and got mazda's cars unloaded and tucked away in their stalls. These are some sweet lookin' rides, wow! These first 2 pics are mazda's gasser entries, an Austin A40 and a 33 Plymouth Coupe.
And his "Lil Hoss" Capri for Nostalgia Funny Car class
And a PSO & 4GO entries.
He's kinda all alone in the pits right now but they'll be filling up soon enough!
