Gale your stands and fans look great. Can’t wait to see the pits full of cars and on the track. Clive’s cars are looking pretty awesome. Really liken that Austin. You got me all jacked up so I pulled my cars out and started cleaning them up. I don’t have my track set up for any testing yet but I would like to enter 2 N/FC’s and 2 Gassers and I’m going to try and repair my 4GO Aces Wild Willy’s it needed a major overhaul and it’s been in pieces since it ran last. Hopefully I get make them so they will get down the track ? I’m going to try and have my tack up for testing before Jeffs race ?

Dave632 and finistauri's cars pulled in today. They told me they didn't even have to put chains on, they just flew right over the pass .
Finistauri's 40 Willy's Gasser and his N/FC Pontiac Grand Am.
Dave's two Gasser's; a 68 Camaro and a 58 Plymouth.
And Dave's 2 N/FC entry's, goin' all Mopar in this class .
And Dave's PSO & 4GO entries.
The pits are gettin' a little fuller .

Bill it was the only place I could fit all the weight needed to reach the weight requirement for the class. Don't know why we made the weight so high for these cars, none of my cars come close to it. It did not effect the performance any however just looks bad.

It did not effect the performance any however just looks bad. Dave the weight limits were set to allow for customizers to be able to do their thing and not be penalized for doing so. The same weight minimums have been in place for as long as I have been here. Those new Funny Car bodies don't have much too them compared to some of the resin castings out there. We can discuss possibly fine tuning of some of them, but they need to remain at a point heavy enough to allow for customizing and aftermarket castings. Here are two of my 4 gear builds with customized cast Doorslammer bodies as an example. No extra weight has been added to these cars. For my races I just want to see cars close to the minimums. If they are within a gram or two I leave them alone. If I see a car come in at 18 grams on a 25 gram minimum only then will I add weight. It doesn't always make a difference, but sometimes it does.

With the race getting closer I thought I'd share a tentative schedule with all.
- Wed. the 22nd - Finish unpacking arrivals, doing necessary paperwork & finish up the Best In Show video presentations. - Start on qualifying ET's.
- Thurs. the 23rd - Finish qualifying ET's & post. - Set up N/FC seed bracket chart & post. - Post Best In Show video presentations. - Run N/FC class & post pics and commentary.
- Fri. the 24th - Starts at about 9:30am (west coast time)
- Set up Gasser seed bracket chart & post. - Run Gasser class & post pics and commentary. - If time allows, run some PSO & 4GO. Will at least post current standings & standings after 'no shows'.
- Sat. the 25th - Run PSO & 4GO List Racing. Will be done with the List Racing by 3 or 4 pm. I have an obligation Saturday night that I
can't get out of but don't see a problem finishing the List Racing. Thanks for your understanding .
- Sun. the 26th - Tally up Best In Show voting. - Trophy presentations. - Tie up any loose ends .
Looking forward to a stellar event. Thanks all for entering!!!

Was hoping to get final coat of clear today but 80%+ humidity put the skids on that. Clear would come out foggy. Dehumidifier in garage isn't making any progress. Supposed to be rainy until tomorrow afternoon. Hope that gives me enough of a window.

Wow, don't know why your cars weigh that much??? Even my resin bodies don't come close to that. Maybe our scales are different. I just weighed one of my resin cars with a Jag DR chassis and it was 21 grams. I know the DR is lighter than a 4G but only by a gram or so.
