I forgot to add that the brush sits on top. It can be easily changed as long as the springs stay healthy.

I like it. The rivets are acting as a heat sink. Good idea Rick!

I like it. The rivets are acting as a heat sink. Good idea Rick! Robert I didn’t know what to call it. But your right it’s a heat sink. And didn’t plan it that way but was hoping that the rivet and shunt would absorb the heat and leave the springs alone ? Still need more testing. Like I said it was a quickie with stuff I had. I think it has room for improvements ? I did have to play with spring heights and tension. Did that before I soldered the shunts to the shoes. Rick

I have been trying to organize some things around The Farm so I can start back building some new stuff for 2022. Trying to organize a almost impossible mess I opened up a ugly can of worms. I got out some of the masters I've done over the years and this it what I opened up. These are mostly 4 gear stuff I didn't get into any TJet or dragster/altered and truck/transporter stuff yet and have some stock stuff thats in another pile. I probably could fill up another table with the ones I haven't gone through yet. I did a lot of different versions of the same body. You don't realize how much stuff you do over the years until you lay it all out. Been trying to figure out which ones I might re cast ? I have a lot of new ones I want to cast and even more I haven't finished to be cast. It's a sick addiction Untitled by rick williamson, on Flickr Untitled by rick williamson, on Flickr

Those are some nice looking cars!
Several thoughts quickly come to mind.
1) Wouldn't it be cool to have one of everything!
2) I need to put chassis under them all?
3) I need to test them somehow.
I've been involved in HO slot cars less than a year. I already have a dozen drag race bodies requiring paint and chassis. But first, the basement renovations. My work bench/shop/tools are in storage. The new floor will be leveled. For the first time ever, there will be a 36-foot clear run from one end of the house to the other. Hmm... Ideas are brewing.
Rick. Your pics inspire me to keep moving ahead. 2022 should hopefully be a fun year. Thanks for posting.
