Hey guys, I like the adjustable timing of the SuperG+ and BSRT and viper chassis. I was surprised to learn that you had ammended the rules to specificly not allow timing adjustments on the SuperG+ platform when it is a factory stock function of the tune up on these chassis. I've been absent for three years so maybe I missed the discussion of this. I'm not stirring the pot, just curious about the rule change. Would like to continue the discussion. Mike

I believe this was done just for stock class to try and even up all the chassie manufacturers that don't have timing adjustments.
With timing adjustment you go in advance or retard timing. Set in neutral timing gives a more even run say super g plus vs mega g.
This kind of helps us not say hey im having a tyco 440x2 race only , or something on those lines. Makes a broader span for everyone to enter the same event equally.
I can see both sides of interpretation. For me in stock class I feel having the car set in neutral timing is good unless we're going to separate the different timmed arms, wich would suck because I will need alot more different chassies.
Just my thoughts, no point intended

bluesguy, yes, it has been determined that going forward all cars in strictly stock inline class will have only neutral timing. I really don't know if it is open for discussion. like Sam/Skillet, I can see both sides of issue. and I am willing to play by the rules. when I was running live events, stock inline was often discussed for several reasons and never was everyone pleased by the decisions. so, that being said, I encourage you to speak your mind if that is your desire.

But it was not allowed in inlines s/s either. At least by the way I read the rules.

I'm a big fan of the Super G+, BSRT, and Viper platforms. Most of my racing experience is road racing. I've always found additional power on Super G+ by advancing the timing. I found it to work well in drag racing also. Just something to talk about, I prefer timing adjustments, but I will follow whatever rules you post. In real racing if a certain chassis/ motor/ tune up work better, all the racers will be running that combo. I don't think everybody would just ignore the best combo. But lets keep the discussion going. m

Although there will be some other changes to Inline rules for 2021, timing adjustments will stay the same.

I like the idea of adjustable timing but to give some of the other type of chassis and even playing field we determined that timing should remain neutral at least in the pure stock class.

So inline S/S is a form of pure stock? Just asking.

So inline S/S is a form of pure stock? Just asking. We have decided to allow timing adjustments in Inline SS. It hasn't been posted yet. We are allowing some modest upgrades in SS just like in real racing. Should be close to Stock. I will be posting the updated rules sometime this evening.

Inline stock should see chassis we have never seen in it before. It was dominated by the Upper level, higher cost chassis in the past.
