2021 NTRA Winter Nationals and Kiwi ChallengeDay two Friday Good morning racers and race fans  ! Well yesterday was a long one, but I will be able to say that for the next few days. There's still a ton of work to do so I won't be wasting a lot of time today. My objective is to get Gasser and 3g Super Comp eliminations run. That is a big goal but I think I can get it done and not have to cut any corners. There are some strong running cars in every class and the competition is fierce. Swiftkart has made his proxy debut by taking TQ honors in Gasser and 3g Super Comp...impressive! JJWallace is TQ for the Nitroslots KC team. Congratulations! We should see some good racing today. I will be doing slow motion videos of the Semi Finals and Finals. I did that for the last race but never got them posted. My apologies for that. I will do better this time and get those up at the end of the event. Weather conditions are cool and dry....just right for making big power and laying down some good times. Last three pictures were taken with a different camera. It is noticeably darker and more yellow than my other one. I just wanted to make sure it worked in case I need it. Going back to the other camera. I will eventually just use my phone when I upgrade. The cameras and features on them are so much better these days.

Congratulations to JJ on his having best time in the Kiwi Challenge. Very good time for a car in that class.
Looks like the Kiwi's will have their work cut out at this event, 5 cars under 1.0 should be a tough challenge.
Matchups or luck of the draw will also play a part in who takes the trophy here.
Looking forward to the 3G race, some potential great matchups should happen if all goes like the
qualifying predicts.

3g Super Comp field of cars in Qualifying order left to right, front to back.
Race 1 Dynomike vs Mazda The Mustang runs his Qualifying time with a good run but the Firebird has tire shake in the other lane and deslots just past 60'. Mazda will move ahead .7184ET to deslot.
Race 2 Kstocks vs Comet The Mustang betters his Qualifying time and send the '55 to the trailer. Kstocks .5723ET to Comet 1.2206ET.
Race 3 Ecbill vs Comet Cars pull in to stage. The Nomad lays down another solid pass to turn on the win light. The Camaro was just down on power today. Ecbill .5812ET to Comet 2.6254ET.
Race 4 Skillet vs Alpink Alpink gets up on the wheel and grabs the holeshot but Skillet makes it up by 60' and shows the Camaro his bumper to take the win. Skillet .6441ET to Alpink .9723ET.
Race 5 Hairy Canary vs Sjracer HC leads this one start to finsh. The GTO has found some extra speed overnight. The Camaro improves his time in a losing effort. Hairy Canary .5758ET to Sjracer .9086ET.

Race 6 Alpink vs Mazda The Nomad is the faster car this day and takes the win easily over the Cheetah. Mazda is having some gear issues with the car. Alpink turns on the win light .6585ET to Mazda .8965ET.
Race 7 Gnome vs Weissach The Camaro was having gear problems in Qualifying. Did they get that corrected? Weissach makes a much improved pass but it still is not enough to take down the Vega. Gnome makes a solid pass to go to the next Round .6114ET to 1.0398ET.
Race 8 Ecbill vs Hairy Canary Blown Hell Vette continues having power management issue and gets loose taking out the 330' timing block this time and crossing. Ecbill's PSO "Steeler" Corvette will go to Round 2 .5812ET to Hairy Canary deslot.
Race 9 Kowalski vs Bluesguy The Chevelle is going to improve from Qualifying but the white Challenger is going to build the lead from the start all the way through the traps. Skillet .6684ET to Bluesguy .8588ET.
Race 10 Kstocks vs Bluesguy Neither driver wants to stage. Bluesguy needs every advantage since he is the slower car. But Kstocks keeps his cool. They stage and launch on a quick light. The Chevelle is out first but the Mustang makes it back before 100' and it's nothing but taillights from there. Kstocks moves on and sends Bluesguy to the trailer. .5912ET to 1.0257ET. |
