Hey Dave , so you're gonna run a t-jet unlimited class at your next race? I'm setting up one with the Alpink chassis also.
Mine ain't as exotic as the one you're building, but it will be fun to see how it runs or blows up. are these gonna run at 24 volts?

It will be a pancake Unlimited, all pancakes will be allowed and it will be run at a armature cooking 28 volts.

Jack was slid under and wheels put on. Here is a shot of the completed chassis. I only stuck a 6 ohm in it for testing by I must have put a bad one in it as it was slow. More work to be done as I have to wind a very low ohm one for this. I think it will handle most anything I can put in it. I will post the progress or explosions whichever comes first. Put an old sub 1 ohm in it and it still is a dog. More work needed.

Put an old sub 1 ohm in it and it still is a dog. More work needed. Watching closely Dave. I started an Unlimited Tjet awhile back and never could get it to wake up. I will be diving back into it for your race. I think I had a 2ohm and a 3ohm in it and a variety of different magnet types and strengths. It was dog slow! I also bought one of those aluminum top plates for the AFX style chassis that I will be using for my 3g Unlimited. Keep posting I'm anxious to see what you can get out of it. I will have something to shoot for then.... |

The strange thing is both the T jets I sent to GTSs race will beat this all out chassis by half the track.
I am going to put weaker motor magnets in it next and see what happens. I will keep posting the
progress, or the backward steps. I am also building another all out 4 gear for your event.

This time it's the car that's sandbagging. Must be looking for a bigger bet somewhere...  Sounds like a pool playing buddy of mine. He won the senior division, (50 and over) at the last Super Billiard Expo which included 385 players and came in second the prior year. He spots me 2 games in a race to 5 and that keeps it close. He loves to gamble and is always ready. He likes to raise the bet whenever he can.  I am not a gambler however and we either play for fun or 5.00 because I am also a cheap.. |

Well progress has been made with the little monster. First I put some milder Poly magnets in it which read 15-1600 vs 1800-1900. Not much difference there. Then I put some wet brush's in it. This woke it up?? I know they make some difference but this was crazy. Now it would not hook up at all spinning off the track all over the place. Next tip. The big .510 silifoam wheels lifted the traction magnet to high off the track. Getting them close to the rails made the next big difference. Now it goes down the track pretty good hitting .42 @ 42 MPH. This was at 20 volts. Now to fry the arm at 28 v.  T jet Unlimited time
