I am surrounded by so many amazing painters and detailers here at NitroSlots. I'm just going to admit that I merely clean cars up a little at the car-wash. I'm new to HO. But have a background in 1/32 scratch building. I've already shown this car under "How to remove paint". It looked very sad. This is how it came out after the Crazynski car-wash.

The chassis was cleaned up and revived. The solder was already there when the car was purchased. It runs great now with new magnets and motor brushes. Thank you very kindly for looking.

That car looks super clean. It looks like you have a nice shine on the paint.i too struggle with all the custom painting, the biggest problem I've had is the paint not getting hard witch leaves a dull finish. Knock out job crazynski keep up the good work.

That cleaned up nicely. I can make em run fast but painting is not my specialty. Many of the guys on this site do a great job with paint.

Did Corvairs make good drag-race cars? More importantly. Do they make good HO drag-race cars? This body is from Mike at MEV Originals. Turn this short wheelbase car into a drag racer, or leave it a road racer? Thank you kindly in advance for your suggestions. Ken

Here's one of my drag racing stories. Many years ago I saw a Corvair at the drag strip with a SB Chevy V-8 mounted where the wimpy flat 6 was. It ran thru the stock trans axle. They stuck it in the modified sports car class, because I guess they did not know what to do with it. I thought they would be picking up the pieces after the first run. It ran bald stock tires, not slicks because of the aforementioned flying pieces I guess. They left a little soft and then hit it and that sucker just hooked and went right by the Vettes, etc. he was racing against. I was sure surprised and I think his competitors were too. Put a V-8 sticking out of the rear where the hood/trunk is, that would be neat.

Thank you very kindly to everyone for the great comments. That inspired me to upgrade the car with a new chassis. Look a little different? Now to finish the car. That's next. Ken

A new friend that lives on another continent by the name of Nico challenged me to a build/race shoot-out. Some people eh? The cars are older AFX non-magnatraction funny cars with a separate front axle from the chassis. My friend has a Chevy Vega. I have a Cuda. Let the challenge begin. What it looked like from the flea market.

Nice Cuda. Could that be Hairy Canary yellow? That's a really smooth finish. So, that one be going to England for some match racing. Was thinking of joining you.
