Glad to hear you are setting up a track.
AFX track is good enough for a test track. I did get a performance improvement when I switched over
to a custom track. So just figure your cars will be faster at some of the other tracks.

The strip is running well and there is a new 30v power supply on order  . The timing system seems to need more light to work well as it is along one wall and the lights are somewhat shaded from the sensors. So I am making up some led light units for the start and finish lines, I hope this will work.  I will be making some small buildings for the start line to cover the power connections. |

Type of light is critical with sensors Clive.
Fluorescent and LED do not work well with some sensors. If your sensors are Infra red you will
need IR emitters or regular incandescent lamps.
