Thank you very kindly, Bill. I will find out my options on April 27th. But it's not looking good so far.
On the bright side. I should have more time to build and work on slot cars. I also still want to make a full drag-race track.
I sure hope everyone has fun at the show! I really wanted to go, but my wife reminded me that I need to be responsible. Oh crap eh?
Ken

We will be in the Cleveland area this evening. Staying at the hotel that is hosting the show. Will make for easier set up in the AM. After that all plans are wide open.
See you guys soon. Bill

Would those going to the show be interested in exchanging contact info, via PM?

The Cleveland Slot Car show was quite an event. Lotsa great slot cars! Had a the privilege to meet a few of our fellow Nitro Slotters and some of the slot car vendors that I’ve bought, sold and traded with over the years. Sold a lot of stuff and bought a bunch too.
Exhausted, the wife and I decided to crash at a local campground, by the name of Bear Creek. Jeff why have you been holding out on us?

I don't know why those shows never make it down south? I know there are slot car people here too. Glad you got to go and you are always welcome to stay at my Bear Creek Campground when in North Texas!

I would like to sincerely and humbly thank everyone that tried to find an Aurora Olds Toronado on my behalf. It was apparently the unicorn of the day.

The search is finally over. Someone was kind enough to find a Toronado for me on EBash. I am forever grateful!!!

You are also correct that there are many people in the hobby in the South. Kinda wonder if there are just more in the North. With their long nasty winters, people tend to look for indoor activities. It would be nice if somebody would try some shows in the South, just to see how they would do.

If there was a show even remotely close to me, I would be there for sure. Maybe some day.

I would like to thank everyone for their prayers and good wishes concerning my health. I now go for 12-weeks of chemo before my bladder gets removed. Such is the fight for life.
Fin was kind enough to locate a Toronado body. Not being able to go to this show was a real let down for me. Fin saved the day. Thanks a million Fin!
Now back to your regular racing schedule!

Got home from the show last night. After being on the road for nearly a week we were worn out and decided not to push it on the ride home. Stopped at a couple of campsites along the way. Winds were pretty gusty, so the RV was getting blown around a lot. Makes for tense driving.
RV didn’t get the expected gas mileage.. Turned out to be about 9.4. If we were towing a race car like DynoMike it probably would have been more like his 454, at 6mpg.
