Yep, I'm one that agrees with the penalty on body changes for list cars.
This race coming up just feels right to do that if I'm going to. Better be a damn good looking body if I'm giving up second for it :-)
Swiftkart Steve that car is looking sweet. When would you like our guessing in by? And we are guessing at the fastest car of the Event or a class?
Steve if you want start a guessing game thread on it. It makes it easier for you to keep track of guesses. Being mixed in another thread may give you slight aggravation. I don't want that for you.

Jeff please put me down for one in each class. If it’s Ok I might send 2 Kiwi challenge cars and you can run the quicker of the 2 in the challenge cuz the slower car always runs quicker on other tracks. Hopefully I’ll have new list cars built ?

Tuning efforts just took a major hit.
We had a recent Lightning strike. Thought I found all of the damage but keep turning up more.
Latest victim is the Slot Dragon timing system. It’s F.O.R.D. Haven’t had time to troubleshoot yet.
Another oddity is that one lane of the power track had power anytime the power supply is plugged in. With or without controllers. All that’s in there is the runners and a few capacitors.
Will try to get slot dragon up and running, but wondering if it may be time to try the race coordinator? Definitely don’t have the patience that Sam and Mike showed with it. Hoping you guys got the bugs figured out!

hope you can get it all figured out.
if that surge came in through the ground, even a surge protector wouldn't help because that leg is NOT protected.
cow is out of the barn now, but in future, you might want to unplug everything from electric and phone/internet lines when you are not using it.
pain in the rear, but could prevent future similar problems.
be it known, I preach, but I don't always practice!

The Slot Dragon doesn’t have an on off switch so it has to be unplugged to turn it off. I’m almost certain that it was unplugged the day of the storm. In light of that it doesn’t make sense to blame it on the lightning but have no other explanations. The strike was on the fence right behind the shop. It had a lot of energy in it. Figure that some static electricity may have gotten it.
We lost:
3 ground fault outlets
3 led shop lights
Stereo
Box fan
Coffee pot
Antenna amp
Several fence pickets and rails
Numerous breakers were tripped
Fortunately I had forgotten to plug in the RV earlier that day. One of the few time that forgetfulness was a good thing.
