I think that we will all be winners when we open our boxes and see the new Christmas cars . But it was a truly great show and some close racing. Well done everyone, especially the Racemaster.

What would you guys think about having a follow up race to the Christmas Exchange, where we all race the cars we received as gifts?
We could loosen up the rules a little, to allow the cars to be built to Stock or Super Stock specs.
People who were not involved in the Christmas exchange could purchase and build a Mustang pit kit, if they want to participate. Al may still have some available. If not, I have a few. They're starting to show up at Hobby Lobby stores.

Thanks for the comments guy's. They are much appreciated. I had alot of fun with this event.
Had alot of different idea's on how to run the exchange race coming in. Alot of good idea's. One stands out pretty good. Possibly a 2 part race. 1st part would be a builders pride race to determine fastest built car. Then the second part start scrambling the cars. Guess we got a year to think about it lol.
The grudge match racing was really fun. Getting closer running cars together is definitely something to watch. ECBILL wins on best improvement with run time I think. By the time you started grudge racing your cars came alive. There where others that got faster but Bill's stand out to me the most. Also Comets little sleeper roadrunner. Poor thing didn't get to race in the class race but after a good talking to it would have been in the top. I'll be watching that guy lol.
The Christmas cars... can't say enough about them. Awesome ideas everywhere. Can't wait for you all to get them home. I'd definitely like to race them again Bill. Kinda like the idea of just leaving them box stock racers and see if we can catch Steve (Swiftkart) :-) . Just allow autoworld stock replacement parts maybe. I know my crown gear on my build looks like a melted record turning on 35 speed on the record player.
3.5 cars, super cool. Almost felt like building an unlimited with less destruction of parts and chassis for that matter. I only used 1 lol. I'd definitely like to see Steve and Robert join in on those grudge match cars. Hank you did really start something neat there.
As of now the only racers in the house are Comet, Alpink and SJRACER. Clive I was able to get yours and Ken's off today before they closed.
If anyone would like a tracking number please PM me.
Note: Ken and Clive , the post office said I can only track to the boarder?

Thanks a million for all you do. The race was a great success!
Canada Post picks up the tracking beyond the US border. The number is trackable to my door.

That's awesome. If you guys want put a picture of your Christmas cars coming home in here that would be cool. I know a few of us are a little ways out. I had a little work to finish so I could take advantage of shipping cars back. I should have everything finished and wrapped up tonight , so the remaining racers will be mailed asap.

Hers a little Christmas story in the making... Nothing at all to do with slot cars, absolutely nothing lol... Christmas was approaching this year. Discussing the wish lists around the house, Mrs Skillet said she was thinking a new bed or maybe a couch would be a wonderful gift! I aim to please , so I told her " I will get you both". Well this is going to take some time? Got to pull this off fast, so I can get back to building cars! To the scrap pile of wood I went... There it is! Perfect! Can you all see it? I sure can.. Yha I was thinking the same. That ain't going to work. She will not be happy with that! At this point I started realizing this is definitely going to take longer than I thought and I still need a couch. Next I hacked up a few more pieces of wood and headed for some sand paper. Let me tell you I sanded my ars off. More than on any body job I ever done. Saw dust was a flying. Bang! Bang! Glue, shift , Bang! I started scaring myself. It was so bad I couldn't see. Had to stop and when the dust settled, We had a wonderful new bed and couch. I just can't seem to figure out why Mrs Skillet has been walking around all day with a confusing look on her face. She keeps asking where are the big ,BIG!,boxes at ? I have no idea what she's looking for?

No one has any Christmas stories? Well I'll give you all another one. Many years ago, I started off in slot cars with Tyco 440x2. I was straight up addicted to them. Well I decided I wanted a nice track layout and I got an autoworld 3gear set and a tomy super international set with mega g plus cars. I remember thinking to myself, these cars are junk Where's my Tyco's lol. Well time went on and I started getting different chassis to mess with. Found out about wizzard, slottech and viper. Found a slot car web site to( hated computers and things until I figured out they help with slot car addiction). At any rate, there was a live chat and I started talking with others on it. They said hey Skillet let's see your tjets. I said I'm building cars not planes what is a tjet. I thought they were going to come and burn my house down... The next day after doing some research. I said I still don't know what a tjet is? I see wild one, tuff one ext. THERE ALL TJETS SAM. OK OK calm down , dam I'm getting one lol. So I ordered my first tjet off ebay. Well it arrived in the mail and was not the car I ordered. It was a tjet , just not the one I bid on. I contacted the seller. Told them it didn't matter to me just wanted to make sure who ever got my car wasn't upset. Seller said they would take care of it don't worry and gave me my money back. And said keep the car as a gift. My first tjet was free couldn't believe it. I opened and drove the tjet. Went on the computer and said guys ,really this tjet over Tyco you all are screwed up ha ha. At this point Al had taken me under his wing. SAM tjets can be as fun as Tyco's with a little work. I listened, and Al said to join nitro.i searched for a long time trying to figure out what the he'll a nitro slot car was. I wanted to race and I wanted a nitro slot car badly. Some time had passed and I had learned about adding traction magnets on tjets and things and was really having fun with them. Al asked if I was going to join nitro. I said Al, I got to be honest... I want to race and was going to join but I can't figure out what a nitro slot car is. I can only now picture Al cracking up as he explained the nitro group and its a name not an actual car lmaooooo. Well I joined over here and it has been the time of my life. I bearly touch Tyco's anymore and ever since I joined JJ has helped me realize the love for a 4gear chassis I have. Thanks JJ I needed that light shined in. Well it's time for this year's Christmas confession. Al and Hank had come to stay at my place in April to help me set up the new track and hang out and have fun. It was a time I will never forget. A slim line chassis conversation had started and I thought to myself here we go... guys I never had a slim line lol. Hanks eyes opened so big, dude you should see me with a slim line. Well during our Christmas race you may have noticed 2 cars parked at the starting line. These were sent as a gift from Al. I could almost tell he was up to something. He kept asking if I had checked the hotwheels out he had sent. I said yes but I think one is sent wrong. I think it has a slim line under it? Suprise Merry Christmas I got my first slim line. What a wonderful Christmas... Ok you all stop being so quiet, let's hear something.

that Xmas coupe is carefully jigsawed together. it is like a 3-Dpuzzle to hold it all together and carefully take it apart. 100% stock and Sam needs to take a lap with it, but at parade speed. I had to dig deep in my pile of motors to find one I liked, there were 5 candidates until I found this one with grille on it. had to shave the motor way down and then find a pair of headers. shaved the front tires to make it all work. found an ancient bottle of Candy Red to paint the chrome part of the grill I wanted to match the body. there is a brass body pin JBWelded to the front of the body at a slight angle to hold the body to a hole in the top plate. then another, slightly larger pin (AFX front axle>) JBWelded to that and the body which goes through the motor. when you take the front screw off, you gently lift the front of the body and the motor which allows some room for the motor to slide on the pin. carefully continuing this motion allows full disassembly of the body from the chassis. there is some Super Glue reinforcing here and there but the primary adhesive JBWeld. I decided against windows on the KISS principle. I wouldn't be surprised if Sam found upgrade wheel and tires. I wanted to keep some of the SlimLine nostalgia, but I kept thinking of how a different set of wheels and tires wouldn't look better.
the die cast sidekick had horrible hard plastic regular old Hot Wheels wheels on. that had to go. I found those "Real Riders" in another pile of parts. I think it looks much better with those.
