Bill it takes time doing the editing. Just take 2.4. Each driver gets 30 seconds on screen. 30 seconds is about 5 minetes of film. 26 cars, Sam walked up and down the track 52 times. Qualifying alone is two hours+ of film, reduced into a 10 minet clip. It took about 8 hours just to do qualifying. For future Summer Slam events, planning of content, policy and most important Time are all being noted. If it means anything , many people are seeing slot car drag racing for the first time. I feel its worth the effort. I get it , I fell asleep tonight waiting for the next one and found out this when I woke up SUMMER SLAM 2023/ Update Sam is taking care of Race Office duties tonight and catching up on messages and communications. I just found out the saved spots are for filling still shots relating to the video. Sam is working on that production. Racing will resume tomorrow night and video ASAP My comment on the Jag cars was not intended as a complaint about pace of event. Sam is doing a great job and I appreciate that it takes a lot of time energy and dedication to put on a production like this. It was in reference to the fact that I only had one Jag car that was race worthy at my shipping deadline. Another one was decent but in a dragster body and I thought we were not running dragsters this time. That one has the wheelie bar mounted to the body. Changing to a car body would have required a new wheelie bar that would prevent that chassis from going back into the dragster body. Didn’t feel there was enough time to fool with it. In Sam’s post, it sounded like Jag cars were still coming in, which meant that there was plenty of time…… I didn't see anything about dragster not being allowed to run cars, I think that was the race Sam did outside of Nitro so I would send it as a dragster if you want it ran, looks like you have time. |

Missed having you be with us racing,
And your post are always inspiring and encouraging.
The camp 🏕 🏕 ⛺️ 🏕 ⛺️ was a blast and General Sparks with his Fireworks, it was truly like we all got together and enjoyed each others company even as we are so far away from each other.
Everyone worked extra hard on there drag cars.
The new members also There's a Ghosts 👻 someone 🤔. A fellow call Gramps who builds some awesome cars Custom Bodies and Fast. Larry with a pen car,I don't know these Fellow Racmate's yet welcome.
So many many interesting cars.
Jeff The Greatest shout out to being the Cornerstone keeping us together for all these years,you always ad yourself into the Style of your Event with Professional Documentation and Photos.

Super Hero Sam The Marathon Man He must be in his late 20's i wish i had his Supply of steroids.
Those we remember Gale Sharp 💯% his own style and the Great handmade Trophies 🏆. Dave Vince added some great classic like Index class and the Unlimited Class.
Alley-Ratz went Quite for a long time it looks like Sam passed out on the Bleachers 🤪

I knew you weren't complaining Bill. I don't think anyone is... I just know it's taking awhile to put it together. I'm sure I'd be thinking what's he doing over there? I just wanted to give a heads up on how long it actually takes. I've tried a couple things to make it faster but it's just not going to be faster with the video... then I get crazy ideas like fin doing burn outs and evil Canary jumping his bike lmaooooo...yha that don't speed anything up, but I think it looks awesome.
If everything goes good. I'll run 4gear list tonight and post in the morning... then dr1 tomorrow night into Friday.
Then we can start grudge racing. The couple racers who were wanting their cars back were sent out this morning.
Couple members were wanting to send in cars for grudge racing now. I have no problem with that. Send them in.
