Sure looks like a washer or a small magnet stacked. I do not think that is in the rules. Is it?

Yes, that is a small magnet added to the underside of the stock magnet. Unfortunately, it is NOT allowed according to the current rules, would have made things easier. I was experimenting with downforce. Very observant. Factory stock, I like that 55 Chevy. I ran several 55 Chevy's on the drag strip many years ago. What a great car.

Back when I had hair I ran a 55 in B/MP. Pics were destroyed/lost when we moved from Dallas along with my slot cars. Snow white with a big blue strip down the center. Just a little 409 sitting in that BIG engine bay.

The 55-57 Chevy may have been the best car ever made to turn into a drag car. Full frame, decent stock rear end, and a HUGE engine bay. I made many a trip down the drag strip in them. I don't have any pictures of my old 55s either. I once had hair also. Here's a more recent car I had that I have a picture of: Smoky Mountain race poster 2018

Looking good, you had the patience to disassemble them, I did not.

Patience? I nearly broke it into a million pieces getting it apart. AW can create a deluxe pit kit = a complete car in parts. But they can't make a body kit with it being pre-assembled? I don't believe it. Not for a second. Someone in upper managment is putting their foot down and simply saying "No".

Usually, upper management has their head firmly where the sun don't shine. Look at Bud light and Disney for current examples.

Even the unpainted body that I got in a Pit Kit had all the pieces heat staked together.
I may have got lucky but I have disassembled 3 of 4 so far with little difficulty. I removed the glass, but not the thingypit housing and driver. *edit* love the auto censor for the part of the vehicle where the driver sits. LMAO!!!

Good point Ken and Dave! Hearing rumblings on eBay that AW is under new management or ownership. Perhaps the new management will be more responsive.
When I asked previously, was told it was not possible to do unpainted without welding parts in place, but Tommy Galloway ordered his exclusive 56 Ford truck pit kits, with chrome bumpers and stacks, that are not attached. So it is possible when they want to do it. Seems like it would save them money to do it that way.

Usually, upper management has their head firmly where the sun don't shine. Look at Bud light and Disney for current examples. Recto-cranial inversion. It can be terminal, if not treated early, lol. On the assembled body pit kit thing, I recently bought a '57 Nomad pit kit and the glass was "welded" in, but the bumpers were not. I'm not looking forward to removing the glass for paint.
