2024 Ice Drags at IT's Raceway February 23,24, and 25

Gather around race fans gather around. It's tike to kick off the 2024 Ice Drags here at ITz raceway! We have a special treat for everyone tonight. We are going to have 2 rounds of Top Fuel qualifying under the lights! Before get that going we're going to take a look in the pits. Let's start with the DR1 super stock pits





I knew when I seen Skillet announce the new dr1 super stock and that there would be a bunch of white bodies going out to this group to customize that you all would not disappoint. These are some of the most amazing cars I've ever seen. Now on to the stock Tjet class. These cars did not disappoint either.








And there they are. What a huge class we have in the stock tjet class. Let's get ready for some qualifying.

Awesome group of cars!! But all those dragsters are pretty cool I gotta say!! We don't get treated to that very often. Great job on the customizing everybody!

Here we go race fans. Round 1 qualifying of DR1 Super Stock dragsters under the lights at the 2024 Ice Drags. First pair sees ECbill and billEC in the Yeti and Blazin Bill dragsters.


Next pair RR and Racin Rob. Just like the last pair they might be the same driver they might not be. Who knows?


Next pairing sees JJWALLACE in the grape ape and Dave632 in the 632 dragster.


Next pair Jetta in the Blue Hell dragster and Dave632 in the Castrol edge dragster.

The board went down before we got a shot of the times but it was dave623 with a .5718 and Jetta with a .5409

That will see JJWALLACE in the Mystifier and Comet in ol red bring them to the line.

JJ lost a magnet at half track but kept the car under control.

Next we see Pete in the color flopping Dragster and Steve E-D in ol red. You think Steve and Comet copied each other's paint??


Here comes another absolutely beautiful pair of cars in Hairycanary and Eagle Racing. Driver name same as the car name. If it's right it's right.


And that brings up the last car to qualify in round one for tonight in Blues Guy in the Mac Tools Dragster.


Now a few action shots and maybe a mishap.
I don't think the rear tire should be infront of the car.



Now wait a minute. Who's chasing who here?

This was just round 1 folks. We have ran both rounds and like normal everyone picked it up in round 2. Anyone that didn't make a pass in q1 was able to make it down the track in q2 and everyone has a time. We have 3 more dragsters that will arrive in the morning and make their passes and then we will fill out the ladder. What a amazing looking and running group of cars we havr here. Now we'll move into something a little less noisy in the stock Tjet class. I know the neighbors will be pleased!

Here we go with a little.. well a lot of stock tjet action. First pair sees Mazda in the willys pickup and Ecbill in the Black and Blue elco.


That will bring up Pete in the Cobra and Ecbill in the Hot Nova.


Next up Cozwurth in the camaro and next to him sits Crazynski in the charger.


Up next Dynomike in the Thundernut and Crazynski in the pumpkin Chevelle.

Dynomike got off the line and went into tire shake and deslotted before the 60'

Now we have Comet in what else but a 64 Comet and JJWallace in the Torino.


Next in the water box is Steve-E-D in the yellow Challenger and Weissach in the gasser 57. Unfortunately on its long trip here it looks like the bug catcher on the 57 rusted right off.


Next sees Pete in his fairlane and Crossfire in the big Suburban.

Crossfire de slots before the 60'

That brings up Smokinvinnie in "76" and Steve-E-D in his pink challenger.

It took Smokinvinnie a minute to see the green but he found it.

In the water box now is Kstocks in the off the show room floor mustang and Bluesguy in the Thunderbolt.


Let's take a look at Gnome in the pink Merc and Hairycanary in the wild willys.


Last car up is Jetta in the lime green bug.

I don't know about you but I don't like bugs that fast. They are to hard to kill.

That will wrap up qualifying for Stock Tjet. All pictures are from round 1. Let me tell you everyone figured out the Ice track after round 1 and stepped it up big time in round 2. We have 1 more driver pulling in but we had to shut the track down for the night so we will run him in the morning. We will get the ladder posted up and get to racing around noon tomorrow.
