I've had that happen too, Jeff. No notices, a status of "USPS AWAITING ITEM" on the web site, and then it shows up in my mailbox. Web site status didn't change until the next day. Duh.

Seems to be a common usps occurrence, I have had it happen to me also.

Looks like my situation is worse. Shows it was delivered on the front porch on Nov. 27, but it wasn’t.
Might have to have Dave file a missing package report or insurance claim.😡

Looks like my situation is worse. Shows it was delivered on the front porch on Nov. 27, but it wasn’t. Might have to have Dave file a missing package report or insurance claim.😡 Cars were recovered! Delivered to the wrong address, who was out of town for the long weekend. She took it to the PO when she got home. PO then delivered to the correct address. Had me worried for a while there. |

My cars have still not shown up. Although some of you seem to think this is a common problem, I have done a ton of shipping cars for over 12 years and I have never had this particular problem occur. They are still showing "Awaiting Item", meaning they have no record of even receiving my package. Therefore insurance will do no good. I always have the Post Office scan everyone's packages in so that there is a record of them receiving them. I just don't trust them. The cars do always seem to show up and we have never had cars lost, but this is different. Fingers crossed......

Was hoping it was just a common postal glitch. One time after shipping a bunch of packages out, got a message from a buyer that his box showed that the PO was awaiting the item. Went out and checked our minivan and found that it had fallen up under the center console, out of site. When I filed the missing package form with the PO for the most recent issue, they figured it out pretty quickly. Doesn’t always work out that way. |
