Hey Everyone, Remember the ol Cox gas Powered Drag cars?? The Pinto Funny car,and The Vega Wagon Funny Car,the eliminator Dragster?? Well Autoworld/Round 2 are bring them back!!!!!!!In August the Vega funny Car will Be available.Ist not on their website yet but if you go to www.autoworldslotcars.com email them they will confirm this info,they sent me a catalog and in the back is pictures or the work in progress.Autoword is the company that has brought back the ol 70's AFX and Tjets.Anyway iam excited I loved these cars as a kid and they were somewhat fast. |

How much are they Tom? If I remember correctly I had just got my driver's license and my first car when they came out. Therefore I never had one. Gas for the 1:1 car and go to the drags or on dates is also why my HO stuff was given to my future little brother in law. (Anything to impressed a girl, huh?) Yes I'd like them back. Yes, I'm still married to the same girl who I took out the first time to the car show in the St. Louis Arena and then when she wouldn't date me for a year, the second time to the drags. She got the picture....and I got the girl. ...........haven't been to as many races as I'd like lately thou.....what's that mean?

Tbolt!!! I have been told from Amy who is like tom lowes assistant,that they are shooting for late August,and i even got an email from tom and he said Fall,which could mean even longer,but i got the catalog and it have two shots of the car.One thing i notice which i know the pictures were work in progress,the back tires to me were too small ,the side walls werent tall enough.
So do you know how much they are going to be???,If you have any different pictures other than the ones in the catalog,please post them and prices too.
I really hope these things are going to take off again,i have been emailing people on ebay who are buying the cox cars,and letting them know that Autoworld is bringing them back this year.
i would like to see acessories for the cars,maybe different sets of decals,different color parachutes,different style of front and back rims.i had the sand baster when i was like 11 yrs old and i just cant wait for the funny car to come out,i also was told by Amy if the Vega Funny Car does well,they are going to do other Cars.
I would like to see someone if not autoworld make a website decicated to the new cox funny car and have a forum/message board,so people can list maybe racing clubs,pictures of their cars,News about new things to come,But Autoworld is just so slow about adding news and info to their site,So maybe a hooby place could have a section on their site.i can tell you iam buying at least 2 to 3 of them,also me and my nephew and a couple of his friends are starting a cox racing club when it hits the shelves.

Second..Neat Super III! Notice the 4 holes for the front axle? Anticipated Del. Date? Price?
Third..Notice how the moderator hi-jacked the Cox thread?

My brother had one of those cox F/C's when we were younger. If I remember right it was black with flames. Never did see it run. Looked cool though.

There is no pricing for the Cox F/cars yet. The super 3's will be here in March and will be around $22.00. These will probably be sold out before they are released so if anyone is interested in them I will see how many I can get. Tom

Is this another chassis without traction magnets like the G Jet?
With T Jet chassis stock running out it would be cool for one of these guys to step up with a chassis that fit the T Jet body, and had nonsloppy gears!

How Are you guys able to get Pictures from auto world?? The Vega funny Car Looks Just Awsome,and i cant wait!!.the super 3 chassis is just sweet looking and hopefully very fast. love the front axle holes so maybe a funny car body could fit on them.
By the way SKR sir the one your brother had was i believe the black widow,by testers.i assuming the cox funny car will be around $49.99,but that is just a guess.Wonder if you guys could get a couple more shots of the Funny car. ;D

WOW,.. Guys have an update on the gas powered funny car i emailed tom lowe and ask about a price and to my shocking surprise the cox powered funny car is going to be around $149.99!!!!!!!!! Ok so does anyone else thinks this is very High priced!!!! i understand that prices go up and they will not sell for the orig price back in the day of about $20.00..but $149.99,although he did say this car on the tether line will hit speeds around 30+ mph.
Just wanted to share this and see if anyone else thought this was High,or is it me being too cheap,LOL

I do believe the 57 chevey was in fact testors,cox didnt do a 57,they did the baja bug,dune buggy,funny cars,sandblaster,trik chopper,Honda ATV,slingshot dragster,1972 Van.
BUt all these cars were just about $20 abd now tom is going to sell the New cox Funny car for $149.!!!
