Thanks so much for the update Mr. Wizard. We know you're working hard, you deserve a break. Have a great time! We'll be here waiting patiently. Well... perhaps not so patiently, actually like kids waiting for Christmas.

I am new to the board also but not new to HO. I am also VERY interested in Mr. Wizzard's timing setup. We are using the AW set to get people interested in HO drag racing. Thank you Mr. Wizzard for your great ideas / input to the HO Drag Racing scene. Bob

Hi all, I to would be interested in the timing system for the AW JF drag strip. I also have a couple of questions. First, where do you get the great bodies and decals to make all these awesome drag cars now that the Mead Bros are not in business anymore? I am basically interested in the nostalgic bodies and decals from the 70s and 80s. Second, I plan to get the AW adapter track so I can use some of my Tyco track to lengthen my track, what kind of table or set up do you guys use to mount your track? I apologize for the lengthy post but I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks in advance for any and all responses!!!aafcfan If this post does not belong on this thread, feel free to move it. THANKS AGAIN

Contact HairyCanaryJr@aol.com for decals and resin bodies. His decals and bodies are top notch.

Phil Pinion of Road Race Replicas, has a few new decal sheets out devoted to Drag racing. They are loaded with car names windshield numbers, sponsor names.
I like Phil's decals because each decal is separate, so their is no need to trim them close like some decals.
I have some of all his new sheets coming, and will post a photo, or go to RRR.com / decals, and look toward the bottom of the page.

It seems that Sam isn’t the only one with bug problems. I was hit with a very bad Trojan, I think I got rid of it but it set me back a bit on the timer. I’m now starting to build the prototype. Also I lost the source code for my web site. This is where I was going to post the led upgrade diy because it is a large file. I’ll try to post just the basics on Nitro to get you going.

Hello Guys,
Sorry it’s been so long to update you on the A.W. add-on I’ve had some personal things to attend to.
Building a prototype is one thing, but putting it into production is quite a different thing. When adding it all up, the tooling cost of the pc boards, boxes, labels and other special parts not to mention the labor and shipping both ways. It comes to over $200.00 plus shipping. Considering the A.W. track and it’s limitations I feel this is not a viable product and I will not put it in production.
For the money I feel a person would be better off using a track-mate.
Sorry it didn’t work out and thanks to everyone who showed an interest in this.
Mr.Wizard

Yea don't sweat it too much.
Although I have to say, if you had a timing system for us to purchase for ANY track kinda like what TrackMate sells, I am sure you could sell a few 200 to 250 dollar systems. I know I'd buy one from you considering TM has a 450 dollar price tag.
Thanks for your efforts and save those notes!!!
I hope you consider doing some kind of a system wizz.

If production is out of the question, Mr. Wizard, would you consider putting together a set of plans?
