Well i emailed my contact (designer of this HO set) and he said he hasnt heard a release date, but he does know the factory is making them right now and thye have sent a few complete sets to them amd he said they are Awsome!!,so maybe it might be earlier then December, which i hope so,or maybe even Nov sometime. i hear anything more ill let you know. Also on another note, they have sent a factory a sample engine(cox Style) for the vega and an engineer is looking at it and they will know somthing soon,if they will do the engine, also craig at AW is in china and is also looking into another factory to do the engine as well i guess as a backup.

I think they are just stalling until after the season is over. Once Hagan wins the championship, it will be the MOPAR drag racing set. ;D

That's the only picture that I have. Derwood sent me an e-mail with a pdf file in it. The only thing in the file was that picture. I don't know where he got the file.

yeah i know,it could be wider but cost to tool another HO track just for this set would be very expensive and run the set price way up,trust I have talked with Tom at AW abot some of the cost and WOW its not cheap.i would say just to tool a wider AFX HO track for this would be about $20,000 easy.juts for their factory to tool the 12th scale Vega funny car body on the cox car i posted on here.the cost just to tool that bdy was $30,000.00!!! so to me it makes sense to just use regular HO track for this.

Smart move by AW with adding the return road (oval). Dads who are into drag racing will want this for himself and try to get Jr involved. Jr might get bored with drag racing and now has another option to entertain himself. Also, glad to see it has the option of running pro & sportsman tree.
