Hey Rick you put on a good race it was a lot of fun. Tonight has been a bad night for me. We had our points race at Phils tonight. Some how I ended up getting my Butt kick on both the East and West coast at the same time. Rick I wonder where you got all the Idea's to make this race so cool? So when did they make pot legal on the west coast? Well Matt you did it again great job. Good job to all who sent cars to the race. Well Sam good job to you too beating me with your Chevy power ford mustang. You free one way tickets to GATORLAND are on there way. Well 2010 season is over time to start thinking about 2011 season. It's the final round at the NTRA World Finals, the culmination of three days of racing with hundreds of runs down the Lions Drag Strip quarter-mile. Now it comes down to a classic Funny Car matchup, the Dodge Father Charger against Bluegnouy's Vega. 440GTX shrouds the starting line in tire smoke with an Ohio-style burnout. He's putting on a show for the fans lining the fences! Here we go. Both cars creep into the beams, looking for even the slightest reaction time advantage. The Tree flashes, and the Vega is out first. Bluegnouy's got daylight between himself and the Dodge at half-track. Then the Charger starts to charge, reeling in the Chevy. It's too close to call at the stripe. The win light says it's Dodge and 440GTX! The Mopar takes the win at 1.135/11.62 to Bluegnuoy's 1.156/10.03. A great finish to a great race! Congratulations to 440GTX for his sweep of Stock, A/Gas, and Nostalgia Funny Car at the inaugural NTRA Wrld Finals. It was a formidable performance with cars that were fast, reliable, and beautifully prepared. And with that, the NTRA World Finals has ended. Special thanks to the track crew for staying late and getting up early, and to our official track photographers, the Focus family -- Otto, Soft and Outof -- for their efforts. And finally, thanks to our announcing team -- Thunderlungs, Ted Tappet, and Aurora Divine. Especially Aurora Divine. Good night from Lions Drag Strip.

EXCELLENT race! Congrats to all the contestants and the 'winner' (I say that since 440GTX swept all the classes!) and to the B/Gas winner. You put on a GREAT race Rick. And to everyone at Lions that helped with this event, congrats to you too. You guys 'in the background' NEVER get the appreciation and thanks that you deserve. Without EVERYONE involved, this could not have worked out as well as it did. Sure would've been nice to go more than one round in NFC, but it is what is. At least THIS car is a 'keeper' for me. One thing's for sure, it sure would make a GREAT bracket car! The three runs this time around 1.221 (qualifying), a 1.235 first round, and a 1.225 2nd round. Was pretty consistent, ya gotta admit. If we do decide to vote to leave the NFC class as a part of NTRA events, and be eligible for points, you DEFINITELY have my vote. These cars fit in real well with one of the main goals of NTRA. Fun at a reasonable price, and ALL the cars were pretty close on the e.t.'s and the races themselves. So, my next question would be..When is the first race of 2011, and will we have more than one SS race? Sure would be nice . I think that and the NFC class seem to be my faves. Oh, and Ratt Rod too. ;D Ron (Bondo) Lonestar Racing and Resins

This has been a great event! I've really had a ball being part of it. Thanks to all involved! Looking forward to talking about the next event already. Is there a 3 gear magnatraction class? I got a lot more of them than the t-jets.
Thanks again Rick

WOW, what a day for Team Mopar! ;D ;D ;D Rick, you have really raised the bar on the entertainment factor. I know that this kind of posting can only be done on "tape delay". You did a great job with the race coverage. Thanks to the drivers and staff for putting on a great event. I am still waiting for Aurora Divine to come over for a personal interview. Thanks goes out to Hairycanary for donating the bodies for prizes. Matt

GREAT RACE Rick! Conrats to 440GTX for the sweep going to have to hire Matt as my crew chief. Great job Rick on recreating the old Lions Drag Strip my favorite of all time. Only thing you were missing was Starter Larry Sutton and his cowboy hat. Wish I could have been there.
Thanks Again for a Great Race
