Your are welcome Iceman. I see you are entered in the N/FC class. That is a very competitive class, even though it is stock, Good Luck!

I'm hoping to learn a thing or to along the way and take the good with the bad. Really I would be very happy if I just made it to the 2nd round.

Having fun with mixing paint today. Trying to work out some new color mixes. I use a pocket color wheel to help me with this. IMHO they are a must when mixing new colors.

Thought I would share a pic showing current drag racing projects underway. The gears in front are #1 priority. Testing will begin this month, they are bronze. The crown gears are not shown. The Vickey in the middle will seeing racing action in the N/TF class. It will be a complete new build chassis etc.

Hey Eagle, once you get those gears tested and up for sale you can put me down for some for sure! They look sweet. Also is it possible to get a list of the bodies you cast?

Thank you Dave, I have been working hard to get these ready. They are designed for the hobbyist that enjoys tinkering. The idea was to intro a line of gears that truly opens up the amount of gear ratios available. It is fun to share, but it is also fun to figure out what works and win some races. It is not to hard to figure out gear ratios when you only have two or three to choose from. The gears are cast bronze and polish up nicely. The racer will get the gears unpolished and will need to fit them to there application. That keeps the cost down. The gears in the picture, the first three are straight out of the casting mold. They still have some scale on them. The third gear in the bottom row counting from left has been polished a little. The last gears center hole was opened up to fit the 4Gear. For more information go to eagleracing.us

Thought I would post a pic of some bench work. I am putting together the all metal gear set up. In the pic you can see the brass bottom plate. The tap I ordered to fit the 1.2mm screws, very sweet. In the back ground are a couple of my resin castings. The Vega Pro Mod and a 57 Pro Mod, the 57 is new. I have not built one of these yet. Also in the pic is my N/TF, if you look closely you can see the adjustment screws for the adustable traction magnets.

Hey Rob, gears look like the're shapping up nice. Looks like the small gear is a 14t, others all look same size. Something slightly larger than 4g idler & t/cluster ? Do you know the ratio compared to stock 4g. Congrats on the match win ! Any ideas on what the cars might have run at 26v's (timewise), are all races going to 22v or was it just this one ? My testing is the race past. When things of mine are run at voltages I can't supply at home. Did not realize that MM's are running so soon. See ya at the races. ............................................ Peter

Hey Peter, small gear is 12T, next 2 are 20T, next one is 22T. Have not figured ratio yet. Still trying to make it as simple as possible. I really would like to keep plastic gear shafts in place, makes it easy for racer to change out. Then use brass gear plate for custom work. The match races were a lot of fun. Jeff and I were nailing some awesome lights. Both of us cut .400 lights and a bunch of .41 plus lights. We are very competitive. The 22 Volt just happen should have been 26 volts but I forgot to change it, sorry. Just a word on your car. I noticed that you keep cutting your traction magnets down. That car will be faster IMHO if you do not. I know maybe it runs better on your track but the other tracks is where you need it. Other than that car looked and ran great.
