Welcome Jason! There's a couple places here to find the rules for the 'proxy' racing we do. At the top of the home page you should see a 'banner' with the NTRA logo on it. Just click that, it will show you the tracks we're racing this year along with the rules (btw..proxy racing, in case you didn't know, means you mail the cars to that track, and the drivers there race them for you). If the rules for that particular class aren't there, there should be a link to find them. Or, some of the rules are posted under the NTRA threads, you can find them on the home page too, just scroll down in the threads. As far as classes, actually there are quite a few. A lot of the 4 gear classes are pretty popular right now. Those would be the stock 4 gears, the Nostalgia Funny Cars, and the Doorslammers. WE actually do have a few new 4 gear classes that we haven't raced before coming up, using the modern funny cars and the top fuel rails. Those two and the Doorslammers are more 'advanced' classes. There is also some Tjet classes, the Gassers (probly the oldest NTRA class still racing), the stock Tjets, the RatRods, and the Nostalgia ProStocks. Actually, for this year, the Rats and NPS classes have been combined and actually race together since they really are only a body difference and one or two different chassis mods. So, has worked out a lot better to just race them together. There are also a lot of gooid tech tips and how to's on here. As I said, welcome aboard. And, look around and see what you find. If you have ANY questions, feel free to ask! SOMEONE here will give you an answer. REAL good group of guys in here! ;D Ron (Bondo)

Would a Stock AFX Super G Plus be able to be raced at all? The only class NTRA allows inline motor cars such as the Super G+ is the MM/PS. All other classes runthe Pancake type motor. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need to. These people on this site are simply the best willing to help. Click on the pic at the top of Nitro's home page for "Build an ISRA MM/PS"

Tazman. Depending on what armatrue you have in the truck will decide what class to run in. What type of chassis do you have? Old Aroura 4 gear or newer Auto World.

Welcome to Nitroslots! Being new here for some is overwhelming. Just keep the questions coming until you find your way around. Newer Auto World. Nothing done to it all stock brand new out of the box. So I could race my truck the way it is with out doing any to it? Not quite. To get into the race you will need to met the minimum rules for Class appearance. This next item is not required to get into the race, but if you want to be competitive a lower ohm armature will be needed. See items below. At a minimum for Class appearance:Hood Ornaments: Must have at least a factory hood scoop. Injectors, Pro Style Hood Scoops, Turbos are encouraged but not necessary. Air Spoil: Must have at least a factory rear deck spoiler. Pro Stock Style, Pro Mod Style and detached wings are encouraged but not necessary to compete. To see an exceptional example and how-to see this link: www.ninjatekprojects.com/PDF/KDOGsDOORSLAMMER.pdfThis example is done by someone with exceptional modeling talents and such detail is not expected from every entry. Simpler modifications are acceptable. At a minimum for Class performance:(low ohm armature not required to compete but recommended to be competitive)Armatures: 5 Ohm Minimum. No Rewind, Dewinding. Balancing and Polishing allowed Also see performance enhancing tips at these links: www.ninjatekprojects.com/PDF/Tuning%20the%20Pancake%20Pt%201.pdfwww.ninjatekprojects.com/PDF/Tuning%20the%20Pancake%20Pt%202.pdfNot all techniques all needed or legal for all classes. Simplest effective enhancements, IMO is pick-up spring and brush spring adjustments. Cordell - aka Ninjatek NTRA Race Coordinator What you have now would qualify for 4G Stock Class which was run earlier this year. There are no scheduled races for that class for the reminder of the year. The information above is for qualifying for Doorslammer Class which will be featured in the next two scheduled events.

So I have to ad stuff to the body of my truck and also change the Armature so its a 5ohm. Are stacks ok to run. I just bought the truck and really dont want to do much body stuff because Im not really sure how to do that stuff. But I will do some work and see what I can get around for next year racing since the 4g stock class is over. Might try and get my afx super g ready since I have 4 of them.
