Good call on the ''The Blues Brothers" Wazzer and I like your 57 Pick Up. If it used to be a light color blue or gray it could of been the one ? My movie guess would be " Blazing Saddles "

Hey Wazzer! The easy way to tell if it was the truck or not, was there a crusty, old, brown stain in the drivers side seat  I'll throw this one out there for the question of the day. Not the multiple x type, but something along the lines of Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings.
