Egale.... I dont have a clue where to find braids at. I have read on here dont use stuff from radio shack because its desoder braid. I have looked every where for 1/32nd braids and just about every one of them cost offer $10 because the guide flag is with. I also feel I had the pick ups set good enough to the rails for most contact. I did how after I had sent my cars out make it to me local 1/24 track and find braids with out guide flags. I will be picking some up the next time they are open. Its not your fault they went slower. You felt they would go faster with them, I also did. But we learned that it didnt help.
PC.... I only have two stock tjets. Both with the christmas tree arms. Ohming things out is well over my head on how to do. I cleaned the gears before I sent out for the race with the first one. The second one I got after the race. I switched things and the one that went to the race is still slower. The one I picked up after the race is a little faster but not by much. As for my x tractions. I havent done anything to them at all. I just raced them against each other and took the fastest. I only have 2 race legal bodies as of right now that I now of. Few of my chassis have the lights on them and dont care to change it as for its my dump truck chassis. I dont have a timing system at all like some do. Sometimes I run my cars against the cars at autoworld. They have cars that are faster then mine at times. I just know in my mind if I buy it that the out come could be bad. I also am sorry. I just feel that no matter what parts you have dont help you out.

Hey Taz..if you need braid I can get you a roll of it for around 5 or 6 bux. I know it's under ten, and you get either 25 or 50 feet, can't remember the exact length. You will need to cut them, then 'roll them out' (flatten them so they are smooth) then solder it on. Just let me know, I might even have an unopened package here (can't remember) but if not I can order it and get in a week or so (might even be quicker). Like I said, let me know and I'll go ahead and order it. After I get it we can work out other details thru pm or email buddy. Ron (Bondo)

Taz,
Send me your address and how many cars you are doing and I will mail you some braid. I will need to know what Ski Shoe you are running so I send you the proper width.

Matt, does the width really make that much difference? Just wondering, I never really paid attention to that. I just cut the length and flatten them. THAT'S what this is ALL about guys! ;D Good going Matt! Ron (Bondo)

What about taking bodies that are otherwise correct, but have say a blower or T-Tops on them. Are we allowed to fill in the hoods or T-Top provisions to make them correct and legal?

The verbage needs to be changed a little in the rules to state no aftermarket style scoops. I think factory "scoops" (i.e. shaker hoods (mustangs, mopars, etc.) are ok as is the turbo hump in the Grand National hood. On the Nomad if in doubt, simply trim the pipes.

The body I'm sure is legal for use in the X-Traction Street Class. As for the Ultra-G X-Traction chassis being used with the traction magnet removed seems likely that would be legal. But I will let 440GTX make the call on that one as he formed this class and knows what his intentions are. I am sure he will have to think about it himself since the Ultra-G X-Traction chassis did not exist at the time the rules were created. The 55 is legal. We have had those entered before. I also think that the ultra-g is fine If the traction magnet is removed. Matt tazman I believe the scoops they are talking about is more inline with a pro stock and the wings are like pro mod stuff. Muscle cars had scoops and wings/spoilers i.e. The GTO Judge. The AFX 55 has a little bubble scoop and pipes. They have already said it was legal.
