Forgot the back wheels on "BLUE HELL" I like those. Are they something you made or where did you get them.

Crazy stuff..........crazy awesome!! I haven't gone neo on the motor mags yet. Still running poly. Eagle has played around with shunted brushes, but I haven't tried that yet either. Like you Sam, I'm trying to get something that is reliable and go from there. Closer, but not there yet. My building skills need to progress as well......soldering, etc. I will say that I am very happy with the Tjet style cluster set up I am currently running. Sam we will make the necessary adjustments with magnets as needed. I don't have my notes here but keep in mind times on your track will be .05-.07 faster than my sectioned if I remember correctly. It's all relative though. Super pumped for this race. We like putting on the show.

It's too bad, these wheels are very nice. Maybe if enough of us e-mail them, they'll consider bringing them back? Pro-Track Corp.

Thought I would share a little of what I am doing to my FED. The pic shows my new 18t bronze gear with new cluster. The cluster rides on a brass shaft that is pinned using a brass body pin with a plastic spacer. This allows me to quick change the cluster gear. This is my test set up.

Testing has shown that the new brass cluster does an outstanding job of lapping in the 18T cast bronze crown gear. Next up will be a new 14T cast bronze crown gear.

This pic shows the setup I am using. I now build a 20/10 cluster and the pic shows the 20/12 cluster. I have plans for one more cluster. All of these quick change off the setup in the pic. The 14T crown is next and I do have plans to build a couple more bronze cast crown gears. JJ said I should build 14,15,16,17,18,19 tooth crown gears. Last year I built an extreme 4gear setup lots of brass. This setup is all drop in very simple. It uses the stock location for all gears.

Didn't realize change in rules had been made making it pancake ONLY. Oh well........ perhaps a smaller field of cars was wanted. Always sent something for every class running to help round out fields......... guess thats not needed any more.

Don't know if I could get something together before later in year (is there another race after summers). Gave top plate to, Doug. Where you guys getting magnets for these ? ......... Peter

Peter I've been running polys up to this point. Got some from Jags and Lucky Bobs too. Going to give neos a chance this year. Had to have the gears to take the abuse first. I do realize it is short notice for you, Dave, and anybody else to start from scratch. So at least consider it for the Summer Nats if you can't make the Winter Nats. As far as turnout goes....N/TF was the biggest of 5 classes run so the builders are out there for pancake only. That is after all what the class was supposed to be from the beginning. The loopholes have just been closed. The green Monster needs to be there....just with a pancake under it.

Thinking again......Peter I have a top plate that has the pinned hybrid cluster gear in it. It held up to some sub .5 runs before I finished my current gear plate. You are welcomed to it if you want. You could throw in a not too crazy Pceng custom arm in there and at least get your feet wet. Let me know. I can throw it in the mail tomorrow.
