Some test action in the 2.5 comp class. There cars are very fast compared to stock inline cars of any type. Roughly 15-20 MPH faster and about 1/2 the elapsed time. 2.5 comp race

Wondering what kind of artillery made that hole in the roof of the Grand Torino? Musta been a dud. Nice looking cars. The SC fleet is on the road, looking for some action! Should be there Wednesday.

Bill looks like one of the cars the Torino beat did not take the loss to well. I think those cars had a police light mounted there like they did on the old TV show. Thanks for sending the bodies with your race cars Robert.

Love those Corvette's.....especially the orange and white one. 1962?? The Camaro looks kinda lonely.

The Corvette's are 56-57 which were identical except for the engine which went from 265 - 283 cubic inch. Something like 50 million small block Chevy V-8 engines were made from 1955 until the late 1990s when the LS series started. Those year Corvette's are my all time favorites. Never owned one however, did have about 8 different 55 - 57 Chevies in my time. Wish I still had one.

I was looking up a 1962 Biscayne right before looking up the Vette......derp . I could tell those years looked very similar, but I wasn't aware they were identical. I really like the single headlight versions. I also just saw Bill's post where he identified each one of his cars and the year........derp again. Looks like a nice gathering of cars for a race. Small classes, but we still like to see the cars run. I know I do. I guess I should have sent my Super Comp after all. I didn't realize there were more cars. Thank you for running the late season event....I'm looking forward to it.

There's a whole fleet of them in my HO garage. The orangeish one is painted with what was supposed to be pearl yellow nail polish from a dollar store. Even though it didn't turn out like I envisioned, it looks pretty nice. Camaro won't be too lonely, it's got a Corvette motor in it. Don't most used Chevies? Thanks, Bill

Jeff your Comp car would have fit right in. Thanks for showing me how to put a car entry grid up so I will be able to in the future. Turning the way back machine on I bought a used 56 Corvette engine for my first 55 Chevy complete with the original 2 4 intake etc. I spun a bearing in it driving it like a normal maniac would. Good luck to all today in qualifying. I will be starting out with the stock cars and moving on up. The 4 King of the strip cars will run an exhibition race with some crazy MPH and ETs.
