Man those cars are fast!! I have never seen cars that fast go down the track......close but not that fast. I would like to build one sometime, but I just don't have enough shut down area right now. Kiwidave that Comp Mustang is definitely the King of the Class for this race....Wow! Would be cool to see it break into the .3's. I have a question about Ecbill's #1 Stock Camaro. I did not see this before, but what is an AFX Shifter? I haven't had a chance to do any research myself on that one, but I have not heard of that before. Just curious....I am far from the slot car expert or historian so there's lots I don't know. Dave everything looks awesome and I'm looking forward to more racing action to come. This weekend is the very rare "double header" here at Nitroslots. The running of the Fall Nationals here at Smoky Mountain Dragway and the final race in the NZHO Gasser Winter Series at Sandfly Alley. In fact, this might be the first time since I've been a member..........pretty awesome!! Good luck to all tomorrow!

A video of those cars is useless all you see is a blur and not much of that, same thing in person. Even with a slo mo camera it's blurry. If you were in a full size car that went 0-60 in .24 seconds you would be flat as a pancake. The shifter chassis is the name I used as I do not know the right name for sure. I have several like that but none run like that one, good job Bill. It was also used with the blazin brakes chassis and I think maybe the super mag chassis. I think it was the last one before the Super G+. Here is a shot of the chassis maybe you can find the right name for it but it is the same as the shifter with different gearing. shifter, blazin brakes, super mag chassis.

Thanks, that website shows the shifter chassis. This chassis has a single gear, I also have several like that with only one gear and several shifter chassis with the two gears as well. They work with a special controller that reverses the polarity and switches to a higher gear.

Just tuned into the racing action, been out for the evening.
The mystery chassis in the Camaro started out as a Blazin Brakes car. The chassis had a diode connected to a light bulb for the tail lights. This works out really cool for drag racing. When the car crosses the finish line and you let off of the controller, the arm is rotating in the magnetic field, generating current with reversed polarity. The diode allows the reversed polarity to flow through the bulb but blocks the current while the car is running.
The effect is that the tail lights illuminate as you cross the finish line, just like a real car.
The Blazing Brakes, Speed Shifters and Super Magnetraction are all the same basic chassis but with different gear sets.
Some of you guys may recall that the G plus was considered somewhat pricey in its heyday. The SMT was supposed to be a cheaper alternative. Many parts interchange with the G plus.

Great qualifying and race action!
Man Kiwi Dave that Mustang is fast. It would be competitive in super comp. In fact it looks like it would have been TQ in super comp. Does it have a Corvette motor too?
A shout out to all of you veterans out there. Thanks for your service and happy Veterans Day!

Here is the action from the Inline stock class round one. First up is TQ ECBill and his 69 Camaro vs Dave 632 and his white T bird. The T bird is no match for the Camaro as Bills car hits a strong .5702 24.01 to the T birds .8102 15.25. ECbill, Dave 632 R-1
Next up it is JJWallace and his Ford Pantera vs Nosubfor3 and his white Firebird. This one is not close as the Ford hits a very good .5826 22.43 to the Firebirds .70443 17.80.
JJ, Nosub R-1
Next we have JJWallace and his Ford Torino vs KiwiDave and his Plymouth GTX. The Torino easily gets the win running a very good .6030 20.91 over a .7924 17.80 for the Plymouth.
JJ, Kiwi R-1
Next it is Nosubfor3 and his red Firebird vs Clive Mills and his blue Camaro. This race was much closer but Nosub gets the win with a .6592 17.66 over the .6947 17.48 for Clives Camaro.
Nosub, Clive R-1
Next it is Eagle in his red Dodge pickup vs Clive Mills and his red Corvette. This race was fairly close but Eagle gets the win with a .6504 18.78 to Clives .6947 17.48.
Eagle, Clive R-1
Round 2:
ECBills Camaro gets the bye as #1 qualifier in this round.
JJWallce and his Ford Pantera vs Nosubfor3 and his red Firebird. JJ continues his strong performance running a .5842 22.58 over the Firebirds .6642 17.56.
JJ, Nosub R-2
Next up is JJWallace and his Ford Torino vs Eagle and his red Dodge pickup truck. JJ once again gets the win with a .6002 21.37 over the .6768 18.23 for the Dodge.
JJ, Eagle R-2
Semi final:
Eagles Pantera gets the bye into the final as his Torino faces the Camaro of ECBill:
The Camaro goes to the final with a low ET for inline stock for this meet of .5621 23.84 over the good .6026 21.31 of the Torino. ECbill, JJ Semi
Inline Stock FINAL:
The number one and two qualifiers go at it in the final. There were no upsets in this race, this should be a good one as both cars were running in the .5s which is exceptional for Inline stock.
The TQ gets the win as ECBill and his Camaro gets the win over the Ford Pantera of JJWallce running .5746 23.51 over the .6013 22.07 for the Ford. I think shocker is a good name for this Camaro as it sure shocked me with it's super times. This car had NO traction magnets of any kind and it's 60' time was as good as any of the others. Only change from stock that I could see was the rear tires which were made out of Kryptonite I think. Congrats to Bill on tuning a super ride and JJWallce for making the final with a very fast car.
ECbill, JJ Final
